And, it would only be a 2 year deal so no longer term commitment.
The no trade got removed when we restructured/extended Cousins.

Add another terrible trade to Rick's resume. When has he ever had a good trade? Jared Allen? Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'd love to be wrong in this situation.

Listen, I get it. Hindsight is 20/20 and they had no idea how this season would shake out and it's best to get something for him if he is going to walk anyway. But this is why you take precautions when you give up a high-end pick. Should have been at the least a sign and trade if they were going to give up a second.

lol, so did we just lose a 2nd I assume? So we lost the initial trade obviously but the way this season played out it just made sense. I don't think they envisioned we would be 1-5 that's for sure. Getting a 3rd is better than nothing so I'll take it. I was also wondering how we were going to resign him given that he would get paid pretty good.

Can't say I am overly surprised as I was pointing out we have financial issues we keep pushing down the road seemingly to try and compete this year... Now it looks like we realized that isn't happening and the cap issues due to Cousins (among other things) won't just disappear so we can't keep everyone.

I really really hope Cousins is next.

I can't tell if this is a sign they have realized their mistakes on judging this team/future or their way of saying "see, now we can make the cap to keep this 1-5 group together a couple more years!"...

This move also basically says Spielman and Zimmer will be around next year. Doubt they trade Yannick if their fighting for their jobs.

Hunter is going to have surgery on his neck. He's done for the year. Read before this will be a 3-4 month recovery. Should be good to go for the off season if surgery goes well.

George Iloka tore his ACL in practice yesterday. He was placed on IR today.

No worries...we basically gave away a very high SRP for our cap-strapped team that needs to re-build but Iím sure Ole Rick can turn that 3rd into four 7th Round Picks at the next draft.

If Zygi and Mark are as smart as I think they are, itís time to clean house from a business standpoint starting with Spielman. With no revenue to be generated this year from ticket sales and concessions due to COVID, its time to go full tank and play all the young guys to see what we have and include Mannion to ensure a top pick for a QB in 2021.

Letís hope Garoppolo continues to stink and Shanahan gets desperate...

now lets trade Rudolph and Harris. Get rid of their contracts and get something for them and try to unload Cousins but there isn't anyone that will take his contract.

If we can trade some additional pieces like Harris and Rudy I think it will set us up to be able to release Cousins next season and eat the dead money without taking all of our CAP. Draft a young QB and sign or trade for one of the Qbs who didn't get a fair shake like Haskins/Darnold/Rosen and hold an open competition.

We can't even tank correctly. Knowing us we'll lose a bunch of games only to go on a 3 game win streak weeks 15-17.

Harris is possible but may be detrimental to developing our corners. Rudy is by far the best trade candidate from an on the field perspective but as I've pointed out before no team is going to take his contract. We'll have to cut him in the off season.
