He's the type of guy I want to see bring it to Minnesota.

I know this is looking ahead in terms of Kirks contract. If Kirk gets us to the playoffs the next 2 years and is still putting up good numbers (comparable to what he has) I could see him taking a discount to help the team win as well. I know it appears that we need a rookie QB to hit but the problem with that is we aren't going to be bad enough to get a Tua or a Lawrence. Even though I would totally tank the 2020 season for Lawrence.
I like the Andy Reid comp for Zimmer. He's the defensive HC version of Reid.

If we win a couple playoff games then i can agree with that. If we get in and lose the first game both years then it gets kinda iffy. Andy reid has been head coaching quite a bit longer so of course his resume will be a lot more, having played in 26 playoff games and winning 12, with a super bowl appearance in there as well. Zimmer still has that lone playoff victory for his time in minnesota so hopefully he can build on that. After two more years here he’ll be at 7 years as our coach. If he’s looking at 1 playoff victory in 7 years as the coach i would expect changes at that point. I like regular season wins as much as the next guy but i separate the good coaches from the great ones by what you do in the post season, and i really REALLY need to start seeing some success in january. Hopefully not high. There are a few good kicks that are FAs. Matt Bryant is appealing.

Matt bryant is good. Could we get him at a decent price is the question.

I really don't see Zimmer allowing us to draft another kicker.....he'd be more likely to bring Carlson back (which still wouldn't be very likely)
    gotta love 'referential' treatment
