We Summon the Darkness - 6/10 Too bad Daddario did not take her shirt off, the movie was alright horror flick. Horrible acting though.

Project Power - 6.5/10 Decent Action flick but the whole super powered humans genre is way overflowing.

Pretty entertaining found footage horror film that was entirely filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic with the director doing his job remotely (and the whole film taking place via a group Zoom chat). Basic premise is a group of friends decide to hire a medium to guide them through a seance via Zoom. Starts off a little slow but being less than an hour long, it gets in to the freaky **** relatively quickly.

I'd say everyone involved did an admirable job for a movie made with the restrictions in place that this had.

Compliance- 8/10... Hard to believe people were that gullible and fell for what the phone scammer told them to do.

The Uninvited- 8/10... Had a nice twist at the end that I didn't see coming and actually made sense.

Scream 4- 7/10... I loved the first one, hated the next two. This was a nice bounce back.

    Birds of Prey--4/10

None of the actors fit their roles all that well and/or their characters were incredibly underdeveloped and/or shytty characters. These characters felt more in line with the show "Gotham" than a movie. Love the idea of Roman Sionis/Black Mask as the villain but man other than Darren Cross (villain of Ant-Man), there has not been a weaker villain in this superhero genre era. Same on the writers/directors.

My biggest problem was them trying to turn Harley Quinn into the female version of Deadpool. She was neither funny, clearly, threatening or even believable as a protagonist in the film. Which is a shame because she was damn good in "Suicide Squad." ATP I don't need another Harley Quinn movie if this is how they are going to treat her.

I thought after Shazam and Wonder Woman maybe DC was turning the corner on their films but JL and BoP, shows why DC movies are inferior to Marvel.
    Screw sabermetics.

Amazing Spider-Man 4/10. It was garbage. Garfield shouldnít even be mentioned as a good Spider-Man.

Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020), 7/10

Surprisingly decent. Some laughs throughout. Winter was better at reprising his role than Reeves. Pretty low quality CGI made it look like a Scyfy channel movie during some scenes. The main character's daughters were basically an attempt at mimicking their fathers and initially turned me off but I warmed up to them as the movie progressed.

If you liked the original movies, it's worth watching. If you didn't like or see them, not worth watching in all likelihood.

Bill and Ted Face the Music - 6.6/10 or 7/10 for sentimental value.

Keanu Reeves did not feel like he was once Ted Logan, his movements were stiff and just did not have the facial expressions his younger self had. Alex Winter does seem like the same.

As FA as the daughters go, I felt the one that was Tedís daughter did hit it in the head as far as acting like a younger Ted, the other one not so much.

It does has some lolís but the ending was cheesier than the one in part 2.

I saw the first again a few days ago and man it still holds up as a classic.

Iím a bill and ted fan. My brother and I quote it and had watched them a bunch together in the 90s but this one was just a 6 (at best) for me. I think it was ok but they have to stop these 20+ years later sequels.

Only reason I gave this a shot was because of how corny the first two are. I will say the 80s underbudget vibes were there which was awesome. And the blatant use of making sure the old slang they used in the original two were NOT used in this one was actually well done.

I posted it too but I actually think the low quality is what made this good.

Rate the Last Movie You've Seen XXV

Mulan 2020 - seeing a lot of negative reviews because of no music, not much humor, and lack of mushu. Iíll say that some of those things are hard to translate outside of animation a la beauty and the beast wasnít that good either. Pushing all that aside, I still think the movie was pretty mediocre. I think the acting was super forced and everything seemed super rushed. It was like a mix between a kids movie for martial arts but trying to be a jet li type martial arts movie. I think everything needed to be humor or no humor at all because it really pandered to a crowd Iím not sure exists. 5/10
