He should, he was fantastic in what is probably my favorite of the Oscar nominated films (Shape of Water is there as well, I am constantly flip flopping on which I like more).

I'd take Shape of Water over Three Billboards with zero hesitation.

I believe that Lady Bird is Best Picture, but may not be getting the hype that I believe is most deserving.

I agree with this. Of the nominees I have seen, Lady Bird is the best

Still need to see 3 Billboards, Phantom Thread, and The Post

Haven't seen it yet. For some reason I have little to no desire to either.

I have quite a few people telling me that Call me by your name is the best picture they have seen this year. I haven’t yet.

Now there's one I have absolutely zero interest in seeing.

I agree, but I felt like that about moonlight last year and thought it was good, not best picture, but good.

I don't have much desire for this film either, but read from one of my favorite movie critics that is very boring.

I knew it was going to win. I loved it from beginning to end. Literally hypnotized in watching.

Brilliant and authentic performances about the real world. I believe I gave it a 10/10.

Initially, I was hesitate too, because I thought it as a women's movie.

It's about a very independent high schooler in her senior year and the trials and tribulations she goes through during that period. Excellent character study of all performers. Straight up, first class drama. Authentic and honest.

Made me think of my senior year and the challenges I had.

It's really a film we can all relate to despite the fact it centers on a female.

Laura Metcalf should win Best Supporting Actress playing Saoirse Ronan's mother.

    Truly a brilliant film.

    47 Meters Down - 4/10

Here's one movie I strongly recommend avoiding. First 15-20 minutes are grueling to watch as it plays out like a bad TV movie. Weak acting, poor script kill this film as well as shoddy directing.

Movie gets going once the sisters enter the shark observation cage. Good for some tension, suspense with a couple of real scary moments.

Matthew Modine made this film strictly for the cash. He was worthless here.

    Hellraiser: Judgment: 4/10

Interesting set up for a future film but for this one its bad (lame cop story, minimal gore for a hellraiser film, bad CGI, and changing of some Hellraiser lore I am not a fan of).
