    Tusk-3/10

I love Kevin Smith, but this was a very weird movie.

    Blue Jasmine- 4/10

This gets rated fairly high by critics, which I should have known that I wouldn't like it. I found the main character very annoying.

    Delivery Man- 7/10

This might be rating it too high, but I actually enjoyed it.

    50/50= 7/10

Had some good laughs and was better than I was expecting.

Kevin Smith has come out with a lot of weird movies lately, go watch Yoga Hosers

Decent but slow. Creepy period piece that takes place like 400 years ago. About a family ostracized from their town and forced to find a new way of life at the edge of a creepy looking forest.
    Oh man, rough crowd!

I loved that movie, I love watching horror movies and that was my favorite until Hereditary (really ****ed up movie, 10/10 would recommend)

We def don't have the same taste in movies. Saw Hereditary in the theater and thought it was a total joke. Dude's follow-up film, Midsommar, was a pretty good watch though (despite being quite disturbing). My favorite modern day horror film is probably the Conjuring.

Yeah, I hated hereditary. I remember hearing how great it was supposed to be and thought it sucked and funny in a bad way.

Basically my exact experience. Seemed to be the same for the majority of the people in the packed theater I watched it in as well. Hella people bustin' up laughing at scenes that were supposed to be disturbing, along with a bunch of mocking pop/click mouth noises from all directions.

    Have you seen Midsommar?

I just thought Hereditary was a bit more "disturbing " than the run of the mill horror flick. I liked the conjuring but the follow up and the Annabelle movies have been terrible.

I've seen every insidious , first one was very good imo

If you like Hereditary so much, you should watch Midsommar if you haven't yet; both were written and directed by the same guy. It is quite disturbing as well but didn't strike me as such the farce that I found Hereditary to be.

The only other Conjuring universe movie I've seen is Conjuring 2. It was aight but def not nearly as good as the original. Based on reviews and such, I have no interest in seeing any other of the films that followed those two.

I've been meaning to watch Insidious but haven't done so yet. 28 Days Later, It Follows, and Cabin In The Woods were all pretty enjoyable modern day horror flicks to me. Not a huge fan of the genre in general but I'll check some out here and there. Had a girlfriend that was in to horror movies like Saw and Hostel aka basically violence porn. Not in to that **** at all.

I recommend a few new ones, easy to watch because I believe they're all on Netflix:

I am the pretty little thing that lives in the house
    Mother
    In the tall grass
    Apostle

I'll definitely have to watch midsommar
But I assumed it was essentially a remake of the wicker man from the 70s or 80s?

    Midsommar was fantastic.

I wanted to check out the extended 4K cut but they sold out real quick off a24's site, and now are only available on ebay from price gougers as far as I know. **** that. Although I imagine there are 123 other ways to find if I want too.

I've seen Mother. Didn't love it or really even like it. Though I usually do dig Aronofsky's movies. Will have to look in to some of the other ones you listed.

Haven't actually seen Wicker Man but have seen the comparisons to Midsommar. Though I have seen the scene with Nic Cage, the mask, and bees on YouTube a few times.

Oh ****! Not the 2006 one. I've heard it's not worth watching. That was a remake.
