What movies would make good tv shows?

This was brought up in the tv thread. I had just watched Cobra Kai and was wondering what else would make a good streaming show? Something where they can get most of the original cast and make about 10 episodes a season.

The only one I could think of was Ferris Bueller. All of them are still around and not doing much, although the principal might be a tough sell since has was caught with child porn. They could do the same concept in that their kids are now the ones playing hooky. Another one that would be fun would be Step Brothers. I think that would be a fun series and I think they would all do it actually.

Curious to see how these Marvel shows work.

I think comedies would be pretty hard. I think youd run out of material pretty quick or at least veer off from the origin a lot.

I mentioned this in the other thread but, the one that keeps popping in my mind is The Last Starfighter. I know they were wanting to do a sequel for a long time but, never got to it.

Centauri and Grig are the only ones you wouldn't be able to get back.

The Dark Tower came to mind first. The movie was cramming as much **** as possible in the 90 minute run time and it showed. Nothing ever connected or was interesting because of it.

That series should of always been a tv show. Its impossible to do it justice in movies.

I was going to say Terminator but then i remembered the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Shame they only made 2 seasons. What did happen to John Henry?

Good Burger - Never understood why Nickelodeon never made it into a TV show. The sketches and movie are awesome and Kel Mitchell even returned as Ed for a few sketches when they rebooted "All That" a couple of years ago.

A lot of Westerns would make good shows. They're generally slow paced to begin with, so stretching them out to 6-8 episodes wouldn't be too challenging.

    Aa far as specific movies:

Alien franchise - turned to **** after the last movie, some would say after Prometheus (though I enjoyed it). Obviously a ton of material to pull from though. Not enough good sci-fi on TV either.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - I guess they're kinda doing that with a horror spin already with Ratchet, but something set in a mental health facility (more toned down and dramatic than Ratched) like that could go on for a long time.

Similarly, a lot of prison movies could be extended to TV shows as well. Take your pick... there's about a million of those.

The Nice Guys - plenty of cop shows already, but not many PI shows. The 70's era plus the comedy would make for a really fun watch. Could get several seasons out of something like this. On the right network with the right leads it could be awesome.
