    Lessons for my son?

In the past 3 years I've slowly taken up golf. I only get out if I'm lucky 3 times a month. My 10yr old son just decided he wants to take up the sport. Should I invest in lessons for him out of the gate or just do the 1st yr in the driving range?

I suck so teaching him anything but the basics would hurt rather than help.

Find some junior clinics around your area to put him in that way he can learn the basics. He won't need private lessons but definitely give him some sort of instruction so he can learn the grip and all that.

I just started searching for some right before I read this. I figured if they can help him and his interest remains, lessons could be something we both go for.
