With Altuve out with a broken hand I wonder if they might be interested in overpaying for Biggio as a stop gap solution?

Doubt it. David Hensley can fill in, they used him in the WS

Cincinnati says they will trade Votto to Jays this deadline if he wants to go?

Long as they eat most of remaining salary and definitely the 7 million buyout on the option for next year. He'd be a decent bench bat for the post season if he has anything left.

My question would be: who do you take off the roster to out Votto on? I don't think this trade suggestion is at all feasible.

It's a long season who knows what will happen with everyone. I know the sept roster size expands by two is it now? Not sure about the playoff roster size.

Jays could use big DH bat down stretch. But yeah, see how Votto does this season first. He's 40

Hopefully they already have that in Belt. Obviously the start has been bad but if he can recapture past glory or even come close to it he's a great option there.

On track. Still needs another 6 weeks or so before potentially pitching in mlb.

Seen rumour on main board Vlad to Braves for 3 players? Elder, Albies and Soroka. Wonder if any credibility?

Albies replaces some of the power at 2, Elder is young front of rotation pitcher. Soroka is reclamation project. With high upside. Power hitting first baseman Jays could find in off season with Ryu 20 million.

    Jays need major shakeup
