Nobody wants that kind attention, rather distraction on their team. If he has starter type numbers and was as good as he was when he went to the SB, dude be on a team now! But backups don't play and are there for insurance anyway. So you'd want a guy on your team, that you know is going to be a backup, and brings with him all that attention? Nope I watch football to watch the game, not watch about someone's stance on social issues.
Kap had a couple good years in SF. He is nowhere near starting caliber right now. Mid tier backup at best. And he's a ****ing clown as a person.

He can thank his girlfriend for a lot of his demise. She's the one that persuaded his activism and without it he'd probably be quietly earning decent backup money somewhere.
gotta love 'referential' treatment
Like I said everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but the owners are also entitled to not hire someone they feel is going to be a headache, and bring unwanted attention to their team. I want to watch football for football, and not see all this other crap. Football is a way for me, and millions of others, to relax and chill with family and friends and enjoy the game. The main reason I refuse to go to concerts now is because the last couple I went to they started spewing their political BS. I am there for your music, not what your stance is on global warming, or save the whales crap! That's my opinion, what do you guys think?

^^^ Exactly!! No way it would fly anywhere.
So from what I saw today our D better be ready this season. The Lions O looks better than last season and the Packers look better than ever. Hell even Chicago played Atlanta tough. This is gonna be a tough division this year. Our out of division schedule is tough too. We better be ready.
2022 Vikings Draft:
1: Lewis Cine S Georgia
2: Andrew Booth Jr. CB Clemson
2: Ed Ingram G LSU
3: Brian Asamoah LB Oklahoma
4: Akayleb Evans CB Missouri
5: Esezi Otomewo DL Minnesota
5: Ty Chandler RB UNC
6: Vederian Lowe OT Illinois
6: Jalen Nailor WR Michigan State
7: Nick Muse TE South Carolina
I love the completely irrelevant comparisons here. Oh, if I had done that, I'd be fired. What a crock. Are you telling me there's a rule in your place of work whereby if you knelt at the playing of the national anthem that you'd be fired? Ridiculous. I know labor unions run amok in the blue state of Minnesota and I'm certain a big fat lawsuit would entail. There's no language in the CBA outlining this as forbidden behavior. None. He did nothing wrong. And he didn't rape, kill or maim anyone nor miss meetings, miss starts, verbally abuse anyone, no positive tests for banned substance...nothing of the sort. So please stop playing that losing angle.
But you guys are straying off track anyway. The point of all of this is that Mitch Leidner got more of a chance than he did. This league is based on performance-based contracts which demand that a player execute the duties assigned his position competently and be physically able to perform. He proved that he could at a level higher than most QB's in this league. He is most obviously being blackballed for political reasons for which the teams have decided to collude to infringe his rights as a citizen. This is disgusting. And that's something you ALL should be aware of and concerned about. They are infringing on freedoms. Corporate America is not supposed to be doing this.
And I'd be willing to wager that 9 out of 10 here can't even cite the reasons (without googling right now) behind which he knelt which wouldn't be entirely your fault since the media wants you to follow the flashing, shiny objects to distract from his point which was simply to inform others of tragic ongoing events. Typical media. They cover-up many stories politically when paid accordingly but I digress.

Anything that is viewed in my companies eyes as detrimental to the company I for sure can be fired from. It's in the policy.
I'm not going to debate this anymore because it's just not worth my time to be honest. In an NFL owner doesn't want to hire Kap then that is on them whether we like it or not. It's there money.
Okay, you claim policy. Where did Kap violate policy? Show me. You still need cause and you would still need to cite where an employee committed wrong-doing. And according to NFL Personal Conduct Policy, one must go through some level of counseling and/or treatment and this was never raised to such a level. So this point is invalid.
And BTW, how is kneeling comparable to being detrimental to a company when they allow acts of violence for which players get two and sometimes three chances? Ditto for weed or other substances. How can you claim this is equal or even worse?? I don't understand this position. What are these owners so deeply afraid of?
As for an owner spending his money on what he wants, that's not the point here. It's about a player who is being blackballed by a colluding number of owners who report to corporate wishes. You nor anyone else can say he's not worthy by talent to get a tryout for all 32 teams. You just can't.
And it's sad you don't see the infringement of freedom here but that's okay if that's what you want.
No freedom of speech. Got it.

He has freedom of speech, they have freedom to choose who is on their team and part of the organization etc. as well.
You are right it is political and ridiculous based on some guys actions in comparison (like the domestic violence etc. not necessarily meaning you can't find a team). That's just how the nfl works and it is partially based on talent/perception. If he were a superstar it would likely be different for him but a borderline starting qb (let's say top 25-30) isn't worth the perceived headache in these gms minds.
Kaep opted out of $17M. It's his own fault he's unemployed.
