Just hitting 300 in AA would put him in my top 15 or top 10 with those other stats you mentioned.

Buffalo finally got their season under way last night with a 4-3 win and Dan Jansen kicked it off with a bang! He finished the evening 4-4 with 2 2B's a BB and a HR. Biagini went 5 innings yielding just 1 unearned run on 2 hits and a walk with 4 K's. Carlos Ramirez also bounced back from a poor spring and went 2.1 scoreless innings giving up just 1 BB with 2 K's. Let's see how long he can go this season without being scored upon

Another BIG night in NH as the Fisher Cats win 11-1 to move to 5-0 on the season.

    Davis: 2-4 with 2 SB's
Bichette: 3-5 with a BB, 2B and a SB (.....his 3rd in 5 games so far)
    Guerrero: 3-3 with a BB, 2B, HR and 6 RBI's (helped by 2 SF's)
    Harris: 5 IP, 1 ER on 4 H and 1 BB with 3 K's.

Vladdy already has 3 doubles, 2 HR's and 4 BB's ...(with only 1 SO). Bichette seems to have picked up right where he left off last season. He is now hitting .391 with 9 hits in his last 4 games.

Dunedin took a pounding 9-1, but Alford was there DHing and went 1-3 with a HBP.

Lansing got back in the win column as they ran all over the Fort Wayne Tin Caps 11-1. Noda went 2-4 with his 3rd double and a SB. Kevin Smith went 3-4 with a BB, HR and a SB. It's good to see these 2 college kids get off to good starts so they can hopefully earn an early promotion.

Samad Taylor also went 1-3 with 2 BB's and a SB and Pruitt went 1-3 with a BB and 2 SB's.

You have pitchers who can pitch (not just throw) and hitters with a plan who can make you pay. Jon Harris and Francisco Rios both had issues last year in AA too. That pitching staff has a lot of potential though just like the lineup. They have a rotation of Rios, SRF, Harris, Romano and Tepeschwith Isaacs, Shafer, Jackson and Case all in the bullpen. That team should win a tonne of games this year.

After a few days another dark horse has appeared as a potential breakout candidate in Cavan Biggio. He is 6 for 17 with a HR, 4 doubles and 5 RBI's over his first 4 games. He struck out too much last year to hit for a decent BA, but after making the jump essentially straight from Vancouver to Dunedin his approach still allowed him to draw 74 BB's to keep his OBP over .340. He has consistently had an OBP about 100 points higher than his BA. If he cuts down on the K's and starts hitting for more power he could quickly become an interesting prospect with the H.O.F blood running through his veins.

His dad never hit 30 HR's. He was a great lead off hitter who also played great defense at 2B. He had over 3,000 hits, a lifetime OPS just shy of .800 and appeared in 7 all star games in the 90's. He also managed to stay with one franchise for his entire 20 year career. During his prime he was a run scoring machine with all those extra base hits and SB's top go with his high OBP.

To be clear, I don't see Cavan ever turning into his dad, but he has the potential to turn into someone who can hit for average, get on base and hit 15-20 HR's along with a bunch of doubles. I think playing with all the talent on that NH team this year will be good him too.(...as well as everyone else on that team.)

What would it take for a 22 year old in AA to "break out"? If he hits .300 with 40 doubles (in ~500 AB's) and 15+ HR's where would you rank him on our top prospects list?
I don't know enough on Biggio to rank him. Either I never seen him play or never noticed him. If he does break out this season makes 3 second generation players we have who look good. After Vlad Jr. and Bichette.

NH dropped its first game 10-4. The big guys didn't do too bad though. Bichette had another 2 hits finishing 2-5 with an RBI. Gurriel was 2-4 with a double and an RBI, Pentecost was 1-3 with a 2B and SF and Davis was 1-4 with a 2B and BB. (Vladdy was 1-5.)

Dunedin was cancelled and Buffalo lost 3-1.(Jansen was 1-3 and Hernandez was 1-4 with a 2B.)

Lansing won 6-5. Kevin Smith was 3-5 with 2 doubles a SB and 2 RBI's. Ryan Noda was 1-4 with a BB and 2 RBI's.

I wonder when Gurriel will go up to AAA? Hopefully before the ASB.

    Buffalo won a slugfest 14-8.

    DSJ: 2-6 with 5 RBI's (including a slam)
    Hernandez: 1-6 with a 2 run shot
    Jansen: 1-4 with a BB
McGuire gave up 6 ER in 5 IP and got a W...lol

NH bounced back with a 4-0 win behind 7 shutout innings from Romano. He gave up just 3 hits and 0 BB's while fanning 7. (The game was closed out by Shafer and Case with an inning a piece)

Davis: 0-4 with a BB, SB and RS
    Bichette: 1-5 (and was CS)
    Guerrero: 2-5 with his 4th 2B and 9th RBI
Gurriel: 1-5 with his 8th RBI
    Biggio: 0-2 with 2 BB's and a SB
Ramirez: 2-4 with an RBI and a SB

Dunedin split a double dip 1-2 and 2-0. Alford was 1-2 with an RBI in his 2 AB's and Zeuch took a tough walk off L giving up 2 ER over 6.2 innings. (Polacios was 3-5 over the 2 games.)

Yennsy Diaz lost his 2 W of the season thanks to Dany Jimenez's implosion in the 7th inning giving up 8 runs (7 earned) in 0.2 IP. Lansing lost 9-4 and wasted another 6 solid innings from Diaz. He walked 4 batters but the only hit/run he gave up was a solo shot. Kevin Smith was 2-5 with a 2B, Noda was 1-4 with a BB and Taylor was 2-4 with a 3B and a HR (...and 2 fielding errors)

Not quite sure what happened, but in a Buffalo 2-1 loss last night, Hernandez was pinch hit for after going 2-3 with a HR. Seems pretty odd to me, hope he is ok. I don't see anything in the write ups anywhere about an injury. If that was just a coaches decision it was a pretty dumb one ffs...

NH had the day off and Dunedin lost 4-3.

Lansing decided to score 11 runs in the 7th inning to win 13-4. Noda and Clemens each went 0-3 with 3 BB's, Young went 2-5 with a 3B, 2B and BB. They walked 13 times as a team. This team either has a great approach as a unit, or the pitching in A ball is really bad in the cold...

Buffalo pounded out 14 hits and 11 runs enroute to an 11-1 win. Fields was 1-4 with a HR, BB and SB. Leblebijian was 2-4 with a HR, BB and 3 RBI and Jansen was 1-3 with 2 BB's.

NH lost 8-5, but Vladdy was 2-5 and Bo was 1-4 with a 3B and BB. ..(and throwing error). Davis was 3-4 with a BB and 2 SB's and Pentecost was 2-4 with a HR.

(Gurriel was 1-5 with a throwing error.)

When you say davis are you talking about dj Davis? Is he actually playing well finally? Would be miraculous if Davis and Deck became major league players.
