Also signed Clemmenson to a 2 yr deal, he will compete for the backup role with Kinklad. Resigned Gionta for 2 yrs @800k, and I read that Carter is close.

not bad. Don't like the Clemmenson signing but I guess its not really a big deal. He will split time with kinkaid.

Wish we would have gotten Radim Vrbata today. Oh well. Stastny would have been nice, but that is a long shot so I'm fine with that but damn, we were apparently a finalist for Vrbata. Would have been fun to see all these Czechs

I don't like Clemmenson either, but it's a two way deal, with only 1 year, for what, pennies? Lou brought in someone with experience into the organization, and he will battle out Kinklad for the backup spot. Healthy competition.

I love Vrbata, but we had no space for him, Lou has to deal a forward or two without getting him, if we did get him, that's 3 forwards. Not easy. I was surprised we were a finalist for him, but I think that was Eklund who said that, so idk. We could have rolled on the PP
