Has Hawks taking Thanasis at #43. Wouldn't be shocked some team reaches for Thanasis. Giannis has gotten a lot of hype all year here. As for those other guys. They could be stashed away. Since we only have four open spots and four picks. Doubt they all make the team. Unless we don't go after any free agents? But I see the new owners wanna get some wins to gets some fans in the seats. But Kohl tried to win each year and look where it got us. But its painful being last place. It takes its toll on our guys. Plus we could extend Knight early this summer as well.

which site is usually more accurate? nbadraftnet or draftexpress?

Yeah I seen the draft express one with Thanasis projected to be the last pick of the 2nd round to the spurs and thats why I figured if he had a bad draft combine that he would probably go undrafted. I guess even if he has a horrible combine but ends up tearing up a workout with a team with no cameras on him than we would have to be worried about him being picked at some point in the 2nd round! Like I said though if we still have Larry Drew we have to take a serious look at Russ! I guess we could always take the middle of the 2nd round picks and trade back and grab another 2nd for next year from a team but that way we have 2 "later" second round picks and we could grab both Russ and Thanasis! But than again if Coach Drew is let go than we could grab Thanasis with our last 2nd round pick instead of Russ Smith!

But like I always say he's kinda slow footed and best to only play sf.
Right! I hear ya on that! Maybe its best if we just stay away from his brother and if his brother goes undrafted we just send him a summer league invite so that way there isnt such a commitment to Thanasis. Than this way its more like the bucks front office doing the brother a favor by giving him a summer league roster spot to try to prove and make a name for himself in live game action. Than when summer league is over we can make the decision to release him, keep him, and/or sign him and send him to the D-League for the year to let him grow. Than we can keep him down their the following year as well until Mayo's contract expires. Than we can bring on Thanasis and just keep him in the 5th guard/3rd sf spot on the team! But than if we do have to cut him loose after summer league its not like we spent a draft pick on him and what not! I think he will probably get drafted though just for the fact that Giannas has gotten so much hype this last season! Also i believe the little brother also has pretty freakish size for the 2 guard spot but would be small for the 3!

Embiid and Parker skipping the combine...not a huge deal to me IMO since the top prospects usually don't workout anyways.

I like to use both of them for comparisons.

The Milwaukee Bucks finished the 2013–14 NBA season with a dismal 15–67 record. With an extremely high chance of earning the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and selecting Joel Embiid, Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins, the Bucks will need to hit on their other draft picks as well if they are to have success. One player that they could draft late in the second round who could help the team almost immediately is former Florida Gator, Casey Prather.

Prather was a key piece in leading the Gators to the 2014 SEC Title and a 2014 Final Four appearance. Averaging 14 points a game and five rebounds, he has consistently improved every year in his time with Billy Donovan at Florida. However, the most impressive statistics for Prather have to be his 40 percent three-point percentage and his 60 percent field-goal percentage. He doesn’t take many shots, but when he does they usually go in.

Not only would Prather be a great fit for the Bucks, but they could probably trade back their No. 48 pick to later in the second round and still pick him up. Sometimes, when there is a player going to the draft as highly underrated as Prather, it can pay off in a big way by taking a chance.

With Milwaukee looking for new players at every position, a role-player like Prather could come in handy. He is used to playing with a team around him that is considered more talented than he is and could contribute off the bench almost immediately for Milwaukee.

In the 2nd I'd rather we just go big and try to strike gold. We can always sign role players to the veteran minimum.

Depends what we do with our first rounder. If we take Embiid. Then I doubt we go big in the second round since we already have log jam at pf/c.

Don't see why not. Yeah PG's are a dime a dozen now. So we could just wait till he's RFA next offseason after this one. But we need to meet minimum cap apron. We already have $10M minimum for capspace and up to $17M if we opt out of a few player options. A early extension could be a double edge sword though. Sign him now and he regresses like Sanders. If we don't extend him he could explode and command more and we stuck matching RFA offer sheet or let him walk for nothing unless we do a sign and trade like we did with Jennings. But like I said PG's are a dime a dozen now days. We could low ball him as well.

Michigan’s Mitch McGary also will miss NBA Draft Combine. Back is better, but still not quite ready for drills & athletic testing

New ownership. Potential for new coaching and management. Top 4 pick guaranteed. I can see why we would be "hesitant" to sign Knight long term right now. I don't see any reason to extend him right now either. Wait until things sort themselves out through the draft and the early part of FA/trade time and figure it out from there. Its not like we have to extend him today or anything.

And if we take Exum first overall, I wouldn't be upset. Wiggins and Parker are both flawed players in my mind. I'm not saying they aren't worthy of a high pick, but I can fairly easily make a case for not taking either one first. I don't think any of us are doctors, but even if someone is, we haven't seen any real information on Embiid's back for anyone to actually a legitimately informed decision on his health, so there can be a case against him that early too. As for Exum, I've liked what I've seen in limited views. I probably can't fairly judge him as a player, but if we took him first, I'd be excited that our staff must have seen that first pick potential in him, and they would have watched a ton more film and live sessions with him, so I think I'd be comfortable if we take him first.

Exum is flawed as well. He could be a flop just like everyone else. I agree though, wait on the Knight extension until after the draft. Of we draft Embiid or Parker I can see us giving a Teague-like deal. Or maybe we wait to see what happens with Kemba in Charolette.

I agree that Exum has flaws. I'm not saying he's a shoe in for the first pick and a guaranteed all-star, but I just don't know enough about him. He has all the tools athletically, so if we make him the first pick, then I'm trusting our scouts have done their homework, and I'll be really excited. I feel like the American college players I've seen enough of (and most scouting resources that I read have seen enough of) to be able to create my own, semi-informed opinion on a guy. I'm still going to root for Wiggins if we take him, its just I won't be as excited as I might be for other guys. For Exum, I think I'd be stoked because I only know his upside, and I'll assume we think he can reach his upside.

I am not against Exum at all. I think we will hear more about his flaws since he is going to be a top 5 guy who will go through workouts, not like those typical international guys. I'm rooting for whomever we get as long as we're not reaching at #4 for someone like Marcus Smart.

That being said, I think that whatever happens with Kemba in terms of $$$ will be the standard for what Knight is offered.
