has LeBron surpassed Magic and Durant surpassed Bird?

What do y'all think? I personally think LeBron and Durant are today's Magic and Bird.

    Legacy-wise? Of course not.

Both have proven to be better players in their primes thus far, however. Their best seasons have been better than Magic and Bird's. And I don't think that's close. LeBron just has to sustain it a little longer. Durant obviously has to start racking up the accolades. But neither should have a problem toppling both legacy-wise, barring serious injuries.

These LBJ/KD threads about their greatness are getting redundant tho. In the OP he says he thinks they're today's Magic/Bird. There's that exact thread. And in there it's pretty much consensus that these two are having better seasons than those two ever had at the same time. They're Magic and Bird this year, but better.

    this

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

    lol no

i get they are the two biggest things in the league right now ,but the overreaction/overrating to flavors of the moment needs to stop. lebron is up there, but with kd at least wait until he wins something before starting this **** .wonder what this board would have been like 10 years ago,vc and ai=better than mj and thomas

could kd become the next bird? sure, but he could also just be the next adrian dantley(he to scored 30ppg at absurd 60+ ts).

just wait for him to develop more of a legacy before we start throwing out names lke bird,mj,magic, ect. around

    Yes and Yes.

LeBron is so far ahead of Magic it's an insult to him.

Larry Bird was never that good, just had a stacked team and he was white.
Dwight Howard is a Top 5 Center of All-Time, no one in this league can touch him.

The Orlando Magic are a dominant contender and are a better franchise than I ever thought possible.

    Raph12 is always right.

LMAO What a joke! They both are not close. Are they today's version in this watered down vagina league, yes. Top 2 players in NBA today no doubt

LOL, I agree with this. Obviously not in legacy, but as far as being better and more productive. I think Bron and KD vs Bird and Magic 2 on 2 or 5 on 5 with all things being equal around them...Bron and KD would mollywhop.

Ive heard a lot of NBA players Clyde, Oscar, Bird, Pippen say that you can't put anyone ahead of Lebron. I think the majority of NBA players that played with or against Mike think Lebron is better. Its just the fans that keep saying no way. The actual athletes that play in the league have a lot more understanding of what it takes to do certain things in the NBA. Fans are a bunch of haters and homers.

Neither current player will surpass either former, not even close as it stands, and not likely when it's all said and done. LOL. fobulous further proving my point on how underrated Bird is on PSD.
