Joe Milton has already said he doesnít care if the Patterson rumors are true, heís enrolling in early January. Patterson will commit to Michigan in the coming days.

Sounds like it will be a full 3 man competition with Patterson, Peters and McCaffrey this spring with Milton and Doyle getting the redshirt.

Iím not worried about any QBs getting upset about a 5* QB transferring in. He was the #1 QB in the class and will give Harbaugh something he hasnít had since heís been here at the QB spot. A guy that can move and make plays with his feet and his arm. Shea Patterson will win the job and make Michigan a very good team heading into 2018 that returns a ton of talent.

Patterson said he is coming to Michigan via his twitter.

Between he, Peters, and McCaffery Michigan should be able to find a decent starting QB.

hopefully he won't have to sit out, apparently that hasn't been settled yet

(weird because I thought everyone from ole miss could leave without sitting)

Weíll find out late Jan/early Feb on Patterson, but most likely he will be eligible immediately.

Ooof. Still early obviously but the offense and punting looks pretty bad.

This is what happens when your offense sucks. The defense has to be perfect, and when they slip up a bit, the offense is to putrid to carry their own weight. Michigan is going to choke this away unless the defense can score because the offense looks too inept (save for one drive) to do so.

Never mind, even the defense is struggling now. Now we have to depend on the offense to get the lead back (after blowing a 16 point lead).

1-2 in bowl games and 1-5 against OSU/MSU. What a disappointment thus far. Toomer's words loom large right now.

Former Florida head coach Jim McElwain accepted an offer from Jim Harbaugh to become Michigan's offensive coordinator and WR coach per multiple sources and reports.

Forgot his OC at Florida was Doug Nussmeier who **** our offense all over the field a few years ago. Ugh

Michigan hired former Detroit Lions coach Ron Prince as an offensive analyst.

Prince has bounced around from college football to the NFL throughout his coaching career. Prince was a head coach at Kansas State from 2006-2008 which resulted in a 17-20 record and only one bowl game in three years. He was the assistant head coach and offensive line coach the past two seasons with the Detroit Lions and is a great addition to Jim Harbaugh's coaching staff.

The bad coaching hires continue. If you follow anything that the reports around the Lions have said about this guy it is a disaster waiting to happen at Michigan (even if the college and pro game differ in areas).

    Al Golden is next right?

edit: NBC sports is putting a fun twist to the hiring, noting that James Franklin and Scott Frost were once his subordinates
