    Anthony Davis breaks left hand.

What do you think about how long will it take to reach a complete recovery?

I broke my 5th metacarpal all the way through(bone on the side of the hand below the pinkie finger.)

It depends on the severity of the break and whether or not it will require surgically placed pins or if they decide to let it heal naturally with the help of Physical Therapy.

Believe it or not a surgically repaired break in your hand has a much, much, quicker healing time (think Clay Matthews) than letting it heal on its own.

I did the latter, and it was unbelievable how long it took to heal, I mean twice as long as my rib fractures or my broken collarbone. I was in a cast for 5 weeks, I thought after they cut it off I'll be back on the court ( D1 Collegiete Tennis player) right away, NO WAY, no lie took me another 2 months for my full range of motion on that side and in a contact sport I could see it being even longer.

    With surgery: 4-6 weeks
    Without Surgery: 2 months minimum

Like I said though, it all depends in the severity of the break. Regardless, he will be out at the very least 4 weeks.

I think he'll miss a couple months of action.
With the deepest of regrets I am announcing that I will be leaving Pro Sports Daily. No reason in particular but wanted to thank everyone for a great 6 years here. Lots of great discussion and good poll series as well. Also fun re-drafts. Best of luck to you all in the future.

If this team can get a top 3 pick in next years draft, watch out.

Tough break for the Pelicans. Anthony Davis has serious potential.

On the other hand, they could make out nicely in the draft with Davis' injury. They currently hold the rights to the 76ers 2014 pick, though not sure on the protection.

The opposite, the 76ers own the Pelicans pick Top 5 protected.

Lots of injuries lately. Farmar's hamstring, now this, as well as the Bulls, Knicks & Nets woes.
