Agree Baynes won't net you much at deadline except for a team in contention. And SVG wouldn't trade him in the East Conf.

Part of the reason I wouldn't trade him for Gay. He's more valuable to us than Gay is, if only because of depth issues. Harris/Morris/SJ/Hilliard could always play 3, even with Gay here. No Baynes and we're left short a big guy.

Would anyone be interested in a Bradley Beal & Kentavious Caldwell-Pope swap?
With the reported "hatred" between Wall & Beal I think the Pistons should at the very least keep tabs on the situation...I know some consider Beal "injury prone", but when he's healthy he's a damn good offensive player(good-great 3pt shooter as well). I always thought Beal was undersized playing SG (I thought he was about 6'3), but apparently he's the same height as KCP...and unlike Fournier Beal is actually pretty decent on defense as well (at least according to advanced stats)

Of course there's no way to predict a player's health moving forward, but I'd take Beal over KCP IF he can remain healthy through the majority of his contract

That seems like a no brainer ^^ especially if KCP is really gonna get near max money.

no KCP is going to be a better all around player

But is that what the Pistons need at SG? A case can be made that if we were to acquire Beal we get a 3pt specialist(finished T-11th last season compared to KCP being T-38th) who can become our #1 scoring option.

I agree with you that KCP may have more "all-around player" potential, but I also think Beal's "offensive potential" is much higher than KCP's.

i'll always take the guy that can do it all. that's how you succeed as a team, something beal doesn't know how to do obviously

Drummond will always be the number one option in SVG's offense.

If I'm paying max, Beal vs. KCP - KCP everyday and twice on Sunday.

Rumors have been circulating surrounding a trade that would send Wall to the Pistons along with Markieff Morris, while the Wizards would get Brandon Knight, Jahlil Okafor, and pieces. Furthermore, the 76ers would get Reggie Jackson, while the Suns would get Tobias Harris and pieces. There appears to be nothing behind this rumor, but we'll keep an eye on the situation.
Not sure how I feel about this rumor. I like John Wall but I also don't like dealing away Harris.

Debunked. At this point it's better to not disrupt the chemistry with Training Camp on the horizon.

Honestly if we wanted Markieff I'm sure he could've been had around the same time we got Marcus and like you said throwing Tobias in there is what made me think this was BS

If anyone is interested, the Pistons are having Open Practice on October 4th (that's a Tuesday) at 6:30pm. There's also a player meet and greet as well. Admission is free too.

Karnowski from Gonzaga would make a nice #3 center behind Drum and Boban, assuming Baynes leaves one way or another
