Will we witness a historic(ish) offense or defense this season?

By historical I mean at least Top-10 or so. Its been awhile since we've witnessed a team like Nash's Suns or KG's Celtics, take the league by storm and utterly dominate on one side of the court. Last year Miami set a record for highest eFG% in NBA History IIRC, but I dont think that alone qualified for elite status.

The Clips and Bulls seem to be the favorites for offensive/defensive efficiency, but do they have the talent to crack the top of the list? The Bulls have the coach, a super athletic backcourt with Hinrich backing them, and the Deng-Taj-Noah trio that has always killed it. Whats stopping them from defending at a level of the prior Celtics, Spurs, Pistons.... What about the Clips, can you see them exceeding the Suns?

Warriors on Offense and Bulls on Defense . Bulls have a top 10 player on defense for their position almost in their starting line up if you take out Boozer and replace him with Taj .

I think Golden State has the players to be one of the most electrifying offenses ever. And what's scarier is their D isn't bad either. Clips & T-wolves could be pretty dangerous on offense too.

Bulls and Pacers are pretty scary on D

I think GS is the only team with any real "historic" possibilities this year though

Pacers and Bulls on D. Clippers, Warriors or Rockets on O. Pretty much the only teams I give a chance for a positive, historic mark.

i'd lean no. noone really stands out in terms of top ten all time offensively or defensively this season.

if i had to pick one? Indy or Chicago might put up a respectable all time defensive rank.

Sixers could be historically bad on both ends
    I survived Stephon Marbury's inability
Jason Kidd, Kenyon Martin, Richard Jefferson era
I survived them all leaving, a 12-70 season and not getting the #1 pick
    Mikhail Prokhorov buys the Nets
    I survived Melodrama
    Deron Williams traded here
I survived 248 games missed due to injury, 5 d-league call-ups, 14 different lineups in ONE season, Johan Petro
    I survived Dwightmare
    I survived Avery & PJC's rotations
    THE Offseason - Success TBD

I'd throw the Pacers in the mix of potential defense teams. Them and the Bulls of course. On offense, witnessing the 3 point shot's trend of last years,I'm waiting to see a team do that in a excellent way.
