Top 5 teams this season....if every player was in their prime

I have seen this thread before, and figured it was appropriate with the season approaching. Who would be your top 5 if every player on every team were in their primes?

Nets ( KG, Pierce, Joe Johnson, D-Will, AK47, Lopez, Terry )

Hard to say though, can't account for players who haven't hit their prime yet.

True. I guess we could go with the best they have been so far.

I would go with, in no order:

    Nets

    PG- D-Will/Terry/Livingston
    SG- Paul Pierce/Joe Johnson
    SF- AK-47/Stackhouse
    PF- Garnett/Evans
    C- Lopez/Blache

That is just nasty right there.

    Dallas Mavs

    PG- Harris/Calderon
    SG- Vince Carter/Ellis
    SF- Matrix/Balkman
    PF- Dirk/Blair
    C- Dalembert/Wright

    Lakers

    PG- Nash/Farmar/Blake
    SG- Kobe/Meeks
    SF- Young/Johnson
    PF- Gasol/Gadzuric
    C- Kaman/Hill

    Heat

    PG- Chalmers/Cole
    SG- Wade/Allen
    SF- James/Battier/Beasley
    PF- Bosh/Lewis/Haslem
    C- Oden/Birdman

    Spurs
    PG- Parker/Joseph
    SG- Manu/Green
    SF- Leonard/Maggette
    PF- Duncan/Diaw
    C- Splitter/Bonner

I was really bummed to hear about his injury. He was on his way to an All-Star career, imo.

you forget about Rashard Lewis on the Heat. in his prime, he was pretty much a go-to guy.

Nets are overrated, pierce prime not even at elite level, he pretty much did nothing before KG and allen went there

Pierce was an scoring machine from 2000-2006 (roughly), he got his team (with Antoine Walker and pretty much scrubs) to the ECF against the Nets.

I don't understand where people get off dogging on PP like this. No one is saying the guy is a legend or in the discussion for GOAT. He's been a 22/6/5/1/1 for his entire 15 year career and probably has more game winners than any active player. Wtf are you talking about "overrated"? He has the resume set in stone for a top 50-60 player of all time.

Im with him in labeling Pierce overrated. Hes not this big shot maker people make him out to be. His championship run came with middling production and believe it or not, his FG% was 0 during "clutch time" (5 minutes or less with the scoring margin within 5 pts) IIRC. He had one good run but people talk about his teammates as if they weren't talented enough to get as far as they did. Look at what hes done when he didnt have strong defensive support and was pretty much the main star.

    3) Brooklyn
    4) San Antonio
    5) Dallas
With the deepest of regrets I am announcing that I will be leaving Pro Sports Daily. No reason in particular but wanted to thank everyone for a great 6 years here. Lots of great discussion and good poll series as well. Also fun re-drafts. Best of luck to you all in the future.

Prime Wade was in discussion of best player in the league. Prime Wade with Prime Bron+Bosh+healthy Oden+ Prime Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis and other guys would be a really hard team to beat.
I say the only team to beat them would be prime Dallas Mavericks with Dirk, Marion, Carter, Dalembert, Harris and Ellis.
