I'd go Lebron. Stockton is a beast no doubt, but Lebron might be the G.O.A.T. when its all said and done. And no way can you win a ring if John Stockton is the best player on your team.

Do you rank Dirk or Billups or even the Boston Big 3 in their late primes as better players than Stock? Rings are as much a team accomplishment as they are individual. I know it's rare, but rings aren't always won by the best players. Or do you think a PG that facilitates that much of the offense cannot win with today's current style?

    Likewise. This poll is absurd.

u can't build a franchise around lebron. Its been proven already. he can't attract players and has to follow to be matched up with talent.

    Stockton 10/10 times.

Actually I just read the thread title. 6 years of LeBron's prime is scarily good. Now it gets tough.

Side note, why is everyone is such a tizzy about this thread being unoriginal? Provide some offseason news or stfu. Or simply, don't post and it will fade into anonymity...
Lol exactly. I don't get why people complain about a thread, like they are forced to click on it and post.

Are you arguing that Stock was the more skilled player despite lesser impact? This whole pound for pound thing always perplexes me because each player was what they were and if their body had changed, they may have developed differently. However, I do think there are some arguments that he was a better player than Lebron is now considering competition. If Stock played in this era, his assists would likely have gone down due to the slower pace, but his winning and accolades would likely have increased due to the lack of talent.

By what standard? Could you win a championship with Tony Parker as your best player? If not, can you explain why not?
