Why can't both the D and the QB (Eli and Brady) get credit? Why does it have to be one or the other? It's a team game and both the D and the QB were integral parts of those teams winning Superbowls.

Both should get credit, I just hate when ppl just point out the defense!

The Giants opponents averaged 16 ppg in the playoffs that year. Any average QB could have won the superbowl with the Giants, Eli gets FAR too much credit for that superbowl win. It's exactly why I say people need to stop looking at the number of rings when comparing two individual players. It's literally worse than comparing base stats.

That's interesting. I wonder what the average for the SB winner is over the last few years.

Idk, but the two Giants SB teams were easily among the worst playoff scorers since 1993.

    Packers - 33.33
    Cowboys - 31.66

    I'll do the last 4.

    Ravens: 22 PPG allowed
    Giants: 14
    Packers: 19
    Saints: 19

This proves my point. In the Giants two superbowl runs, they allowed 16, and 14 ppg, yet Eli gets all this credit? It's just ridiculous.

Eli better than Peyton......good one Tiki. Tiki should go back to what he does best, leaving women he impregnates with twins.

Yeah. Interesting. I expected them to average close to 16-18.

Did you see the link I posted a few pages back? NFL posted an article with all of their "analysts" opinion on who is the better of hte two.

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...er-quarterback

Just a warning though, you will lose brain cells. Here's a quote from it -

    Jason Smith -

"Eli is the better quarterback, and it's not really even close"

"I agree with Tiki Barber, who suddenly realizes this after ripping Eli for most of his career. But hey, let's just celebrate that he got to the party. Stats don't matter, and it's not even close -- Eli's the better quarterback. "

Surprised how close they make it sound when Peyton is so glorified.

Who is giving Eli all the credit? I'm the biggest Giants fan you'll find and I'm sure not. I know there's at least one seriously annoying Giants fan on this site, but the vast majority don't think this. Please stop putting words in all our mouths.

And seriously, don't even think about taking away that second SB run from Eli. He played out of his mind. He doesn't get all the credit, but gets a lot, deservedly.

Give big brother than Giants team and they are not a WC team scratching to get in. Peyton manning with a real defense sound pretty scary

It's different now than it was.

When he won the second one, Giants fans are here we're outside of their minds.
