I told you guys. The Hawks will resign Horford (or maybe not) and do little else. They don't ever make the major moves necessary to win a title. Ever.

Teague for Prince was a bad move. Trading a vet for a guy you don't know is not smart.
I'm not crazy, just a bit deranged is all.

If the Hawks do make the huge splash of getting KD and Al, these wher great picks! But if not, they are just horrible.

Now that the dust has settled, I have a hard time believing that Prince was the guy they targeted at 12...... Maybe there was another 2 guys they thought would be there at 12, that other teams reached for? The two guys I'm speaking of are Thon Maker and Sabonis. Not he where tied to the Hawks in various mock drafts.

Hawks Want In On Kevin Durant Sweepstakes
June 28th, 2016 at 11:20am CST • By Luke Adams
Six teams – including the Thunder – have lined up free agent meetings with Kevin Durant so far, but there are still a handful of other clubs vying for the opportunity to sit down with the star forward. According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, one of those clubs is the Hawks, who are trying to “wedge their way” into the KD sweepstakes.

As July approaches, Atlanta’s top free agent priorities involve re-signing Al Horford and Kent Bazemore, but the Hawks are also working to convince Durant and his representatives to allow them to make a face-to-face pitch. According to Stein, the chances of such a meeting occurring appear dim for now, but Grant Hill – a member of the Hawks’ ownership group – is expected to lead the club’s lobbying efforts, giving Atlanta a glimmer of hope.

Atlanta’s pursuit of Durant may be a long shot, but if the team falls short in its pursuit of its top target, it has at least one more big-name free agent on its list of possible alternatives. Stein reports that the Hawks are strongly considering pursuing Atlanta native Dwight Howard, who will also hit the open market this week.

According to Stein, the Hawks would go after Howard with the idea of playing him alongside Horford in their frontcourt. However, Howard could also represent a viable alternative at center if Horford ultimately signs elsewhere. While Atlanta is optimistic about retaining the All-Star center, Horford is expected to draw interest from the Lakers, Rockets, Magic, Pistons, Wizards, Celtics, and Nets, among other teams, Stein writes.

The Hawks are currently projected to have about $47MM in guaranteed salary on their books for 2016/17, which includes cap holds for their two first-round picks, but not Jeff Teague‘s $8MM salary. Even if the team re-signs Horford, there could still be room for another max or near-max salary.

According to Mr. Multiple Sauces, Hawks and Celtics has meetings planned with Dwight.

Wonder if we can talk these guys into a 3-headed monster with Sap, Horford, and Howard.

You don't want Milsap defending 3s all season.

I was assuming he'd be more of a Odom type to Gasol and Bynum. Rotation more so than starting at SF.

Millsap and Horford to close out games since Howard can't shoot FTs.

Also put Millsap on the block to see if we can get something good at SF for him, since he's expiring and we would already have Horford and Howard on deals.

I don't think he'll be happy coming off the bench.

Idk if I would or Wouldn't trade him. If you believe the sources, Milsap is the only player the Hawks did not make available at the dead line.

That being said here are 2 ways I would trade him..... If KD, Horford, and DH12 want to play together! Signing them and trading Milsap to BOS for Brown and BKs picks make sense. Or if the can Sign Barnes, Horfird, and Howard, that same BOS deal makes sense. Minn, Phx, and No could hold some appeal for the Hawks as well.... I guess that makes 5.

Hawks are in a tough spot. Don't want horford at a max. Honestly wouldn't mind trying Howard just to see what would happen lol.

Sign and trade horford to the Knicks for afflalo and picks. Sign Howard. Sign parsons.

    Dennis - Afflalo - Parsons - Sap - Howard.

Just ready to try something new. Otherwise, the Hawks are doing its fans a disservice. We are tired of this core.

    A couple of questions.....
    1) When do the Knicks own their picks again?

    2) When they do own their picks, would they be any good?

    3) Wouldn't you agree Boston is not only closer to winning, but also has better picks to trade considering they own BKs picks?

Ijs.... Let's look at the big picture. I'm not totally against trading with the Knicks, but we do have a few more options.
