The Hawks would get the TPE, a TPE that could be used in a trade. A TPE is better than losing him for nothing. Draft picks would be nice though.

I'm down with that. Honestly sounds like a Smith deal to Boston is locked up, if Pierce can be dealt (Cavs maybe).

Also if we move up in the draft, I'm starting to really like Oladipo more and more. Oladipo and Horford could be a great start.

Yes, add Oladipo in with Teague and Horford for rebuilding process. Get a big and move Al to his natural position...

I'm willing to trade Horford in the right deal, but it has to be bringing back a guarantee. You're not finding a better player for his salary.
Al horford is not the best contract in the NBA!

I'm remember watching Kidd and college (as well as CP3+DWill), Jason Kidds just don't come around often. All those guys you named came into the league ready to compete. Physically MCW is going to have problems when he first touch down. I'm not gonna say MCW aint gonna make it, but he's going to have to go to the right team and coach (patience). Come to think of it, what does MCW have to do with the Hawks anyway? At the end of the day, I just hope the FO hit on their picks.
That's the slugger I remember! Adding things and changing the concept of what other poster's have typed.

    1) I have not co-signed Greek Freak. Saying I'm interested and I would be fine with it, are not co-signing.

    2) I said the best passer I have seen in college since those guys. And that JK could not shoot. I didn't go on to compare the rest of his game to theirs.

    3) Every time you come back, I give you the same statement if you can't quote me truthfully and can't resist adding things to my opinion to try and prove your point, debate with someone else. I have no interest in continuously debating things I have not typed!

The trade proposal I put up, had two picks coming with it. The trade Silver put up also had a pick coming with it ( I think, I'll go back and check). I don't think any of us would do the deal straight up.

•Hoopsworld.com's Lang Greene believes the Hawks will be looking to package their two first round draft picks to make a trade on Thursday night.
•Ford has Shabazz Muhammad slipping all the way to No. 18 (Hawks) in this version of his mock.
•The Hawks are interested in using their 17th and 18th overall picks in an attempt to move up in the draft, reports Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. According to Spears, Atlanta has had trade conversations with at least one team picking in the top five. Spears adds that the Hawks, who will have a final workout tomorrow featuring Jamaal Franklin, are intrigued by Shabazz Muhammad.
•We heard about Vander Blue's workout with the Bucks today (below), and Charles F. Gardner of the Journal Sentinel notes that Blue has also auditioned for the Mavs, Spurs, Hawks, Sixers, Pistons and Magic, with another workout on tap for Monday with the Grizzlies.
•Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal Constitution passes along a couple tweets from Gorgui Dieng, surmising that the big man appears to be in Atlanta for a workout with the Hawks.
Shabazz seems to be the name mentioned most in connection with our Hawks over the last few days. So from you guys opinion,

    A. Would you be happy with him? And B, Is he a 2 or a 3 in your opinion?

I would be happy with him, and even though people are putting him at the 3, he moves just like Harden to me, I would try him at 2 to begin. Hey, if we are trying to rebuild, doesn't hurt to try him out at both. I think it also depends who are PG is and who would be the other wing starting.

For those wondering about the TPE, Ferry used one of those to get Korver from Chicago, which was one of the most underrated moves any GM made last offseason, since based on advanced stats (LINK) Kyle was our 2nd most productive player, at a cost of only $5M.

1.) Sound like a co-sign to me. If you cool with the Hawks picking a guy you've never seen play, that's your business..no big deal.

2.) It was questioned to how he was gonna do once he gets to the league and you chose to reply with bringing up the names of some of the greatest pg's to ever play the game..C'MON MANE.

You not being misquoted, but I still see that you are very sensitive. I'm gonna reply to whoever. If I reply to your post, you have the right to ignore me..but stop the crying. I've replied to all these other posters, but you the only one catching feelings. I do thank you for helping me decide on not using the word "debate" in my post anymore though. It was a poor word choice in one of my other post. Rarely do I feel the need to really really debate someone, I just post what's on my mind..

I keep thinking about this, but then again, would Bynum take a 1-year deal? Will anyone offer him a longer deal? Really, I just don't trust him at all (and doubt our new 'Spurs lite' regime would either) but I'm not against kicking the tires.

I agree with this except for the PGeorge comparison. Watford seemed like a tough minded player when I watched the Hoosiers but he was more of a Ryan Anderson type, like you said. Now that I think about it, the only mentally weak guy on that team was Cody Zeller.

I also like Jeff's potential, but as bmac_121 and *Silver&Black* said, if we can upgrade or get more value in return, we have to pull the trigger.

Aside from Miami, his contract is the most team friendly deal for a player of his caliber.

I was talking about this with someone just yesterday. I wouldn't be opposed to offering a contract at all, not a max or anything like that, but a good deal for both parties. When he's healthy I prefer him to Dwight because of his better offensive game. All of this would have to happen after an extensive physical though, which I'm not sure he'd pass.
