They should give us a pick for doing it, and I would consider. Otherwise, what is in it for us to sign Smith and trade him for our cap space back? A pick would be involved.

The Hawks would get the TPE, a TPE that could be used in a trade. A TPE is better than losing him for nothing. Draft picks would be nice though.

I'm down with that. Honestly sounds like a Smith deal to Boston is locked up, if Pierce can be dealt (Cavs maybe).

Also if we move up in the draft, I'm starting to really like Oladipo more and more. Oladipo and Horford could be a great start.

I'm not trading the best contract in the league for MKG and a 1st. Also don't think Charlotte our us would trade with in the division. Before you say we had an offer out to Orlando, that was for the best center in the league not a 2nd year role player. I'm willing to trade Horford in the right deal, but it has to be bringing back a guarantee. You're not finding a better player for his salary.

I have definitely seen him play, the question is have you seen Giannis Antetokounmpo play (whom u have co-signed for)? You grouped MCW with some great pg's, I'm not sure why you would do that. I'm remember watching Kidd and college (as well as CP3+DWill), Jason Kidds just don't come around often. All those guys you named came into the league ready to compete. Physically MCW is going to have problems when he first touch down. I'm not gonna say MCW aint gonna make it, but he's going to have to go to the right team and coach (patience). Come to think of it, what does MCW have to do with the Hawks anyway? At the end of the day, I just hope the FO hit on their picks.

If danny ferry trades horford for MKG he deserves to be fired...No way in hell you trade a 2 time all star for this guy..Add 2 1st and Id still have to think about it.

The trade proposal I put up, had two picks coming with it. The trade Silver put up also had a pick coming with it ( I think, I'll go back and check). I don't think any of us would do the deal straight up.

I would be happy with him, and even though people are putting him at the 3, he moves just like Harden to me, I would try him at 2 to begin. Hey, if we are trying to rebuild, doesn't hurt to try him out at both. I think it also depends who are PG is and who would be the other wing starting.

For those wondering about the TPE, Ferry used one of those to get Korver from Chicago, which was one of the most underrated moves any GM made last offseason, since based on advanced stats (LINK) Kyle was our 2nd most productive player, at a cost of only $5M.

1.) Sound like a co-sign to me. If you cool with the Hawks picking a guy you've never seen play, that's your business..no big deal.

2.) It was questioned to how he was gonna do once he gets to the league and you chose to reply with bringing up the names of some of the greatest pg's to ever play the game..C'MON MANE.

Take a chance on Andrew Bynum on a one year deal to prove himself? That's a guy nobody is talking about, but if we could get himo on a one year deal.

A guy I would really like the Hawks to pick-up in the 2nd rd is Christian Watford from Indiana. The only thing I don't like about him, he's too unselfish. The kid is 6'9" and can guard three positions+has a mean stroke. I would say he reminds me of Paul George, but he's not nearly aggressive enough. I guess he would be looked at as a stretch 4..

I agree with this except for the PGeorge comparison. Watford seemed like a tough minded player when I watched the Hoosiers but he was more of a Ryan Anderson type, like you said. Now that I think about it, the only mentally weak guy on that team was Cody Zeller.

I cannot believe you guys want to let Teague go..If we do, We will regret it down the road..Trust me on that one!

I also like Jeff's potential, but as bmac_121 and *Silver&Black* said, if we can upgrade or get more value in return, we have to pull the trigger.

I was talking about this with someone just yesterday. I wouldn't be opposed to offering a contract at all, not a max or anything like that, but a good deal for both parties. When he's healthy I prefer him to Dwight because of his better offensive game. All of this would have to happen after an extensive physical though, which I'm not sure he'd pass.
