Unless you know exactly what they have to do with all the international stuff don't judge too hard. Being a fan we don't know exactly what they have to do.

Man, even if we got Bynum, Horford would still be playing center all season.

Atlanta Hawks restricted free-agent guard Jeff Teague has signed a four-year, $32 million offer sheet with the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Jeff Teague averaged 14.6 points and 7.2 assists last season. (USA Today Sports)The Hawks have three days to match the offer sheet or Teague will rejoin his old Hawks coach, Larry Drew, in Milwaukee.

The Bucks' move to sign Teague could ultimately be the end of Brandon Jennings' career with the Bucks. Jennings is a restricted free agent who has found the market relatively uninterested in paying him as one of the NBA's elite guards.

Teague averaged 14.8 points and 7.2 assists for the Hawks last season. For the past two seasons, he's taken over Atlanta's starting point guard job and become one of the NBA's better young playmakers. Atlanta drafted him 19th overall out of Wake Forest in 2009.

Match it! If BJ wants 12/yr... That's easy, he's not 4mil/yr better than Teague...

Monte Ellis wants 10 mil a year, they view him as a PG, BJ wants 12 mil, and Mo williams hasn't been squat since LeBron left cleveland. They better match Teague's offer, if not, then thats the high priced, no difference making market we have to choose from.

i hope none of you are actually mad Bynum went to cleveland. Obviously, Atlanta is a much better city, and team than Cleveland, but Bynum wasnt dependable in LA, and missed all of last season. Probably wouldve played 30 games tops for us. Not worth 12 mil a year at this point.

Great news for Atlanta as that should either be an easy contract to match or set a more realistic market value for the Bucks' guards. I'm still curious who is going to play SG no matter which of the four guys end up at PG.

No more Rose? When is football season again?

I'm not mad at all as I hate burying hope and money into an injury prone big man but for the record only 6 million of that contract he signed is guaranteed.

Ok so now were going to have to match to keep Teague we seem to be a min late and a dollar short for every free agent

It's funny cuz the Hawks actually had a solid draft and have made decent off-season signings, to start off the summer free agency period. They actually drafted one of the better international prospects with a mid-level first round pick (brazilian forward Lucas Nogueira), and went in and swooped up an awesome blue chipper in Mike Muscala in the second round (a gem of a big for a bargain of a price). Ultimately, they gambled on Schroder with the 17th pick (I say gambled, given there's a lack of data available on him), but on the flipside, he's fairly young (and has time to develop).

I respected the Kyle Korver re-signing (since he's a pretty good mid-to-long range shooter), and agreeing on terms with (Paul) Millsap to two-years was sensible (a very productive big, but at 28, he's likely not getting any better, only worse). If the rumors are true though, that management covets Ellis and Jennings (wtf??? Like really Ferry), they're about to singlehandedly murder every positive thing they've done thus far. Simply describing these two players as "horrible," is not enough to depict an accurate enough picture, of just how atrociously garbage they truly are. God awfully turnover prone, mediocre distributors, with poor rebounding sense, and zero offensive efficiency. I mean look at their respective FG%, eFG%, and TS% which have been below average their entire careers. I'm not just saying it's below-average career-wise, they've actually never had a season where it's been above-average. About the only things they're really good at doing, is getting steals and scoring. Okay, but did I mention (that, their so-called "scoring prowess" is negated by just) how god-awfully bad their career (efficiency) shooting numbers have been?

If Ferry has any ounce of sense, he'll stay away from those two with a ten-foot pole (not withstanding they have the audacious gall to both want deals averaging like 10+ mil a year). I really don't like Teague's 32 mil for four years deal. But he's still better than either of those chumps, and there's not really much out there on the pg market (Mavericks stole a great guard in Calderon unfortunately). If the final two-years can be non-guaranteed team options, I'm up for the Hawks re-signing Teague. It's just the smarter thing to do at this stage. Like someone else said, neither Ellis nor Jennings is worth no 12 mil a year. Freaking ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as Ellis thinking he's as good as Wade. Wade on two bad knees was actually still more productive (per min) than Ellis in the play-offs.

I think letting the market dictate the price on Teague was the smartest thing to do. I don't think Teague would have taken 8 million from Atlanta at the beginning of FA but by letting him go out and see what he could get on his own the Hawks avoided overpaying for him. Now Teague knows that's the best he could do and Atlanta fans know they aren't overpaying for their guy because another team literally gave him that amount of money.

I have absolutely no issues with Horford at center. He's a two time all star at that position and Millsap was the best available big man that has two working legs and wouldn't cost the Hawks all their cap room and future flexibility. I would like a center off the bench but I'm fine with Horford and Millsap starting.

On the wings I'm not at all comfortable. I would have loved Brewer but he's out, I would still love Henderson but I haven't heard of any interest in him, Monta at SG if the price is right is OK with me but I'd like to know what the plan is on the wings. Korver/Jenkins/Carroll/Williams/etc none of those guys are clear NBA level starters.
