I do think we get a first or a young player with upside for Baze.
Why Wiseman when we have Collins or say why keep Collins at PF when he's better suited as a big? If we draft either Barrett or Williamson, Collins then would slide over to C. If we were in need of a C, I would have been aggressive in getting Bol Bol with our 2nd-1st round pick in next year's draft, whether it's the Mavs pick it if we would have to trade to move up. Collin plenty good and I think we should keep Len as backup and maybe sign Brook Lopez via FA for added depth...

    Like to hear your thoughts...

Long term I look at it like this RJ is a Kobe/ Vince Carter comparable. Vince type movement on the floor, Kobe type confidence and aggressiveness. . Zion Blake/ Larry Johnson/ Josh Smith comparable. Larry Johnson type size, Blake Griffin type game, josh Smith type athleticism. Cam is McGrady/Joe Johnson/ Paul George comparable. McGrady length, size, Athleticism, Paul George type unselfishness and defensive ability, Joe Johnson type shot, game and personality. In todayís nba the shot has to be there for wings, I think thatís his advantage. Heís been slumping lately and still putting up 6 or 7 threes a game and his team mates trust him to do so. Letís me know they have the confidence in him even when heís in a slump.

I definitely think itís easier to imagine RJ and Zion becoming stars st this point. I also think itís easier to see RJ or Zion becoming bust. I think Cam has the higher ceiling with his shot, I think RJ and Zion have a higher chance at reaching their ceiling with their aggressive nature. In a perfect world we would end up with #1, #6 via Dallas, and number #11 via Clev. Giving us the opertunity to draft RJ or Zion #1 and Cam #6. But if Iím thinking long term I think Cams upside and lack of bust potential make him my guy.

Again I do agree RJ and Zion have a greater chance of reaching their respective high ceilings, than Cam does. However if Cam does, look out!
Sorry brother, just saw this post. Now I see what you're trying to point out. Still, not sure I would gamble on this idea. Heck, you seems to know more on these college guys than i, which why I value your opinion. I'll leave it and see what you say to my above post. I'm waiting for Love to get back in even having hope we will land their 1st rounder. Only time will tell.

I do have a question for you. Why is every news article suggesting we trade Prince? Am I over-valueing him? What's wrong with having him as the weakest 5th player. He helps spread the floor on one end of the court with his shooting. His 2nd half performance of last season puts him with elite class of LeBron and George, as far as stats. He's playing this season as somewhat as the same guy even tho he's been out due to injury....

Since Rondo is out 5-6 weeks, maybe give the Lakers Lin and Prince for Ingram? Lin would easily fill Rondo's shoes and Lakers would gain more depth at SF...

Lakers will likely hold their young players for a run at Davis. And BI could fetch a little more than we can offer.

Prince just doesnít appear to fit into the long term plan. And with his age and production, he likely fetches the biggest return. So fair it not, we will continue to hear his name for a while.

Wiseman has been compared to Anthony Davis a lot. Will he be the next AD? Idk. But Iíd settle for him being the next KG! Wiseman is Tall, long, Athletic, and has some inside outside game already. Along with being coached by Penny Hardaway in his AAU years and skated to continue that at the university of Memphis. Put all that together and you can understand why he had been so highly regarded. Collins can play the 4 or the 5, so I for have no problem seeing them share the court at the same time.

If we were to get Williamson, as I'm hoping, would you say the same as Collins and Wiseman sharing the same court?

    Collins, PF
    Williamson, PF
    Wiseman, C
    Young, PG
    ?SG or SF?

That was where I'm coming from. Wouldn't have issues with our D lol. If no Williamson, then yes, Wiseman and Collins no problem. If we draft Barrett then we could switch him to SF...

    Barrett
    Collins
    Wiseman
    Young
    Huerter or another SG

Makes sense but also would do whatever to win it all being James is starting to be limited on his ability due to his age...

They do have a strong core, no doubt but will they even reach their peak while Bron still on the court with them?

Some players mature and step up sooner than others. It appears to be sooner for Kuz and later for BI ( despite him having significantly more upside). My honest belief is the Lakers get a deal done for Anthony Davis, costing them Brandon Ingram and Kuzma as the center pieces in the very near future. I could see the Lakers having interest in Lin and Prince at the cost of future draft picks, I just donít see them willing to sell on the Anthony Davis dream, to get Lin and Prince. And no matter what version of that proposed trade you listen to, Ingram is in all of them.

Would trading Prince, Dedmon, Lin and future picks get us Simmons?

    Can you imagine?

    Huerter
    Young
    Simmons
    Collins
    Williamson or Barrett

I seriously doubt it...... but they are having issues in Philly.

I like Simmons a lot and would gladly trade with Philly to bring him to Atlanta! However that may cause an issue with style of play for the Hawks. Whoís hands would the ball be in Young or Simmons? Neither is at the maturity stage to play 2nd fiddle as the main ball handler. Would I build a package around Young for Simmons? Absolutely! However that would be current brass admitting they ****ed up the pick and should have stayed with Donic. So the Hawks wonít.

The Atlanta Hawks options are... IMO

    First call of order:

Trade Kent Bazemore + one player named below* for 2019/2020 first round lottery protected pick.
Trade Jeremy Lin + one player named below* for 2019 first round lottery protected pick.

    *Omari Spelman
    *Tyler Dorsey
    *Dwayne Dedmon

    Secondly...

    BEGIN Tankathon Z.0

    Thirdly,
In the 2019 NBA DRAFT select:

IF WE HAVE THE NUMBER 1 PICK!!!

First Round (only based on winning the number 1 Pick)
    1. Zion Williamson (SF)
    2. Naz Reid (PF/C)
    3. Darius Garland (PG) (if the trade above is completed)
    4. Sagaba Konate (DEFENSE-REBOUNDS-PAINTMAN)(if the trade above is completed)

    Second Round
    1. Udoka Azubuike (MONSTER Ole'school Center)
    2. Abdoulaye N'Doye (Freak of Nature!)

    If we do not have the first pick in the draft, then select the players below as the first pick. (order of importance);
    1. RJ Barret
    2. Keldon Johnson
    3. Ja Morant (yes, we have a point guard in Trae Young but we should draft for talent and not need.)
    4. Kevin Porter
    5. Cam Reddish

The Hawks should adjust their selections based on their first pick to assist in the development of the team. IMO Lottery picks are designated for players who should or could become the face of the franchise. Most championship teams have at least 3. The Hawks currently have 2 and 2 possibles in 1/2 Trae Young & John Collins. (PG & PF), 2 (possibles) Kevin Huerter and T.Prince (SG & SF), respectively. The Hawks are missing a young bonafide TEAM LEADER, for now it's Vince Carter (whom, isn't young but I suggest should be resigned next season - for more player development attached with a better salary).

    Back to drafting... (REALISTICALLY)
If the Hawks select Keldon Johnson or Kevin Porter, the Hawks should select the rest of the draft with the focus on rebounding, controlling the paint and defense as the primary need, but still keeping in mind that we are drafting for talent.

I hope that pans out to look something like this...

    First Round
First Selection: Keldon Johnson / Kevin Porter / Cam Reddish (SG)
Second Selection: Charles Bassey / Daniel Gafford / BolBol** (C)
Third Selection: via trade above* Darius Garland (PG)/ Goga Bitadze (C)/ Sagaba Konate
Fourth selection: via trade above* Darius Garland (PG)/ Goga Bitadze (C)/ Sagaba Konate

    Second Round
    1. Udoka Azubuike (first selection)
    2. Abdoulaye N'Doye

Lastly, I doubt if The Hawks trade up for any selections in this draft. I believe this is the deepest draft I have seen in over a decade. Draft carefully. IMO opinion, I see 3 possible Hall Of Fame players in this draft, of course Zion Williamson, but also RJ Barrett and Kevin Porter. (possible second rounder Udoka Azubuike). The Hawks have a chance to score 2 of the 3. This is just my opinion.

    Free Agency

The Hawks will not score any big names in free agency. They will throw everything at Kevin Durant, Kristaps Porzingis and Demarcus Cousins, none will sign, in addition, The NYC Knicks will match for KP. Realistic signings: Patrick Beverly, Vince Carter (re-sign), Rajon Rondo & JaVale McGee.

We can get a 1st round pick off Baze alone. Might have to eat part of his salary. No way throw Spellman in there, no way!

Dedmon and Lin can get us a first round pick

Prince is another one that can get us a first round pick...

Just no way put Spellman in any of those situations. Keep him.

I would not trade Prince. Prince is a future starter for The Hawks (IMO) unless they luck up and score Zion Williamson, and who's going to give you a valid trade piece for Prince, he is just as valuable as Kevin Huerter. The only reason I would be willing to part with Spellman is because he hasn't shown any comfort in his game. But, I welcome your opinion. Thanks.
