Grant Hill just announced on inside the NBA on TNT that he has officially retired. Here's a link http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/s...nba-19-seasons

It's a shame what could have been. Glad he was able to find some (individual) success again after he left Orlando...but all in all, his career just feels too empty.

Always and forever one of my favorites.

Makes sense, one of the most unluckiest players of all time.

Too bad injuries messed up his career. Solid career though. Will miss him.

Though it is a tough "what if" with Grant based on just how ridiculously good he was pre injury, he did end up having longevity that most in the NBA only dream of and made about 150 million in salary alone doing it. I bet he had a good ride.

One Of The Most Underrated Players Of A Generation. Before The Injury, He Was Putting Up Lebron Type Numbers

Still. His peak should've lasted longer. An incredible talent that should've translated to more accolades.

I don't think he was underrated. He universally viewed as a superstar. Then injury and time derailed his effectiveness.

Many people thought he had the best chance to eclipse Jordan of all the players at the time. Tough to say he was underrated, I do think everyone knew how good Grant Hill was.

Please, half the posters on this forum have probably never heard of him. You get some of these kids trying to compare Kobe and Lebron to Jordan for crying out loud. Anyone who watched Jordan play knows no one since has come even close to close.
