    2013 Free Agency thread

    With the tampering period underway and with FA starting in a couple of days I thought I'd get this up.

    Anyways...

    Reggie Bush won't be returning to South Beach next season, according to one report.

    The Miami Herald, citing an unnamed source close to Bush, said the free agent running back will hit the free agent market as expected.

    Three teams reportedly contacted Bush on Saturday, the start of the league's three-day negotiating period. The Herald didn't identify any of the three, but the Lions and Cardinals are widely thought to be among the clubs interested in the 28-year-old Bush.

    The newspaper added that Arizona is interested in cornerback Sean Smith, another Dolphins' free agent. Tampa Bay and New England also were mentioned as potential suitors

    Numbers: Cullen Jenkins and Giants agreed to a three-year, $8 million deal that included a $2 million signing bonus and $3 million gtd.
    Seems like the Giants are always adding to their line

    98.5 says that they hear Wallace is all but signed by Miami for $10-11M. What a waste, Tannehill blows...

    That's a great thing for us. MIA was the team I thought might overspend on Greg Jennings. With Hartline and Wallace getting contracts and Bess already under contract I assume they're out on him. I have a gut feeling Welker's out and Jennings is in.

    @ProFootballTalk

    Chris Gamble decides to retire rather than enter crowded corner market

    I think Greg Toler is a guy that might be on BB's radar. He doesn't have ideal size that you look for in a press man corner (5'11" 190 lbs), but he can play that style. Should be a good fit inside too, and that's a spot we have to look to fill if we're going to let Arrington walk (and I think we should/will because he'll get a decent offer somewhere).

    Too much money to invest at the WR position. Jennings would be a nice upgrade from Welker. If you can return the same skill players from last year except upgrade Welker to Jennings, you'd see a much more diversified attack IMO. Jennings isn't as good as Welker in the slot obviously, but he's effective enough there and he can do so much more on the outside and downfield. He isn't a push the safeties back deep threat, but he's enough of a threat back there where he at least has to be accounted for.

    Damn that blows. He was one of the most cost effective CBs on the market. I really hope he changes his mind. Maybe the Pats can convince him otherwise

    That was my thought as well. 30 years old. Born in Boston. Maybe they can convince him to help us get that ring
