Official Kings Thread - Stanley Cup Defending Season!

Since there is not much action in here during games I figured I would do what we have done the last couple years which is to start a season thread... so here it is.

Time to defend the cup! Even with the slow start I feel that this team has the mental fortitude to figure it out. We still have the entire team back (minus Matt Greene) and are poised to make another run at the ultimate prize that filled us all with elation last season!!! I don't know about you guys, but I have watched that DVD three times and it still gives me the goosebumps.

I don't think Bernier is long for this team, as we need a replacement for Greene and Jonathan is the best trade chip we have, especially with the long term contract we gave Quick in the offseason.

That being said I don't think much needs to be changed on the roster, they just need to figure out that every team is gunning for them. Next game in Phoenix, and I want Brown to lay Doan on his *** for the way he chewed him out during the handshakes last year.

Good to get the first win, especially against the Coyotes!!! Top guys stepped it up with Kopi and Carter getting 75% of the goals. Let's keep this up!

I don't understand with all of the offensive talent that they have, especially at the blue line, how they do not score more on the power play.

They never gave up and paid off big time and Carter proving what a great trade the Kings made to get him.

Yes, he seems to have a hop in his step. Also can tell how fast Gagne is flying around.

If we only beat one team all year (GOD FORBID) I would want it to be
the Ducks. I would love to support an Anaheim hockey team. But not with
THE most ridiculous ****ing name on the planet. Named after an even more
stupid movie. Disgusting. We need to kill that team. Every. Single. Time.
If I was the people of Anaheim I would revolt. And why the NHL ever let
the freakin' DISNEY corporation start a HOCKEY TEAM to basically
promote a movie, is BEYOND ME. Ugh. I'm verklempt.

Tough start to the season, but whatever... We looked bad last season as well, and that turned out just fine.

Seems like the guys are finally starting to figure out how to score on the PP. Carter and Kopitar have easily been the best to start the season.
