He might be around the 80-100 top prospect entering next season.

With the trades, the link above shows that we added:

    9. Justin Williams
    10. Connor Capel
    14. Genesis Cabrera
    22. Seth Elleridge
    23. Giovanny Gallegos

We lost number 10 in Mercado, and I believe that's it.

    Sickels on Capel
    10) Conner Capel, OF, Grade B-: Age 20, fifth round pick in 2016 from high school in Texas, hit .246/.316/.478 with 22 homers, 15 steals, 43 walks, 108 strikeouts in 439 at-bats in Low-A; solid full season debut worthy of more attention than heís received; 70-runner though still learning how to use it, with more power than anticipated; good throwing arm, too; donít overlook him. ETA 2021.

    vs
    Sickels on Mercado
    15) Oscar Mercado, OF, Grade B-: Age 23, second round pick in 2013 out of high school in Gaither, Florida; looked like a bust as a shortstop who couldnít hit; moved to outfield and everything changed, hit .287/.341/.428 with 13 homers, 38 steals, 32 walks, 112 strikeouts in 477 at-bats in Double-A, far beyond anything he had ever done before; some swing changes were indicated but he appeared more comfortable in general not having to worry about playing shortstop; very good speed, nice arm, plate discipline remaind an issue and lots of outfield competition in this system; ETA late 2019.

It was an issue with 40 man roster space for Mercado vs Capel

So in the future, like 2020/2021 could our potential line up be

    1B-Montero
    2B-Schrock
    SS-DeJong
    3B-Gorman
    LF-Carlson
    CF-Bader
    RF-O'Neill
    C-Knizner

    1-Carlson
    2-Bader
    3-Gorman
    4-O'Neill
    5-Montero
    6-DeJong
    7-Knizner
    8-Schrock

    With Sosa, Baker, Arozarena, others

    Reyes/Flaherty/Weaver/Hudson/Gomber

That's not too bad of a team, at all.

We actually have the second youngest MLB roster in baseball right now, second to only the Rays.

Our average roster player age is 27. We only have four guys over 32 on the entire roster (Wainwright 36, Molina 35, Gregerson 34, Norris 33)

Fowler and Carpenter are both 32, and Cecil is 31

And that's it that is over 30, meanwhile, there are 12 guys 25 and younger (which includes Kelly and Reyes though), 9 of which are steady, consistent players we use often (Dakota Hudson being the one I didn't include either direction).

And Ozuna and Wong are only 27, the age where hitters start to hit their prime.

Cards call up Adolis Garcia, send O'Neill to 10 day DL with shoulder inflammation.

Reading this, seems the Cardinals are the prime contenders to get Victor Victor Mesa out of Cuba. That is if he holds off till next year to become a free agent.

Might need to make a day trip to Peoria to catch a game now that Gorman has arrived.
