Knicks forum NBA redraft sign ups

With the season over it has been decided that it's a good time to start up another redraft in our subforum.

Since it's not based on real teams, each GM can pick his own town from any part of the world

Anyone who wants to participate please complete the following form.

    City: (pick a top 3)
    Experience:
    Any interest in a Co-GM:
    Modern day vs 90s redraft?

There are two ideas so far for what the re-draft would be about.
    a) Modern day redraft with 2011-12 players (perhaps add 2012 rookies as well)
    b) 1990s redraft, where only players who have featured in at least 1 game in the 90s (season 90-91 till 99-00) are eligible.

To discuss about this go to the sub forum's thread. Just leave your preferrence, if you have one, on your application form.

Modern day vs. 90s redraft? Definately 90s. That'd be new. If it's modern day I'm not sure I'd be interested.

90s is basically "all time" without the guys who haven't played before the 3 point era and some other great bigs of that era. I think it's the perfect timeline as it stretches from Larry Bird-Magic Johnson era through Michael Jordan era and then makes Duncan-Garnett-Kobe generation eligible. You just eliminate the newer guys (Lebron, Wade, Durant) and the older guys as well as ABA players (Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt, Oscar, Jerry West, Dr J etc) who mostly played before the 3 point era.
90s is easier to 'moderate' and compare players to eachother than old time which is a problem we tend to have where people underrate/overrate players because of their era.

If anything it'd be easier for you to deal with 90s only draft than an All-Time. It was an exciting, albeit frustrating, decade to be a Knicks fan. It'll do you good to research that era.

90's sounds really fun, I think I'd skip modern day, since mock is coming up
