OKC has taken down 10 of the past 13 champs

    Since 1999

    Lakers 5 Titles
    Spurs 4 Titles
    Dallas 1 Title (2011)

    And will face either

    Boston 1 Title (2008)
    Miami 1 Title (2006)

They are really showing us how to "Usher" in a new era.....

Imma a Lakers fan but is definitely rooting for OKC. Not to mention Durant grew up in my neighborhood DMV baby!!!

It's still impressive considering that those teams were still playing well and how youthful okc is at the moment.

of course they know but some of the same major players are still there so it does mean something.

Those teams still have a championship mindset, even though Dallas was giving up on this season....but the Lakers and Spurs were definitely gunning for a title.

You can also look at it this way

    2010 - defeated by Lakers
    2011 - defeated by Spurs
2012 - down 0-2 to spurs, swept 'em backdoor

quite a feat dude. dont down play it cuz it wasn't "the same teams."

Considering the changes and decline of those teams, is it that different from any other year?

It's impressive for the simple fact that they are so young and finally coming into their own when Lebron and Wade can't.

He wasn't down playing it, he's just speaking the truth and keeping things in perspective. Neither of those teams are the same from when they won. I would only consider it an incredible feat if they beat the same championship rosters from the Lakers, Mavs, Boston, and Spurs.
