    Lakers turn down Beasley Trade

I saw it on Twitter if someone can find a link. It was said that Wolves wanted a 1st and Lakers declined.

    Enough said.

I don't believe half of the Twitter sources.

The Minnesota Timberwolves offered to trade Michael Beasley to the Los Angeles Lakers for a first-round draft pick, but the Lakers turned them down, according to a league source.

While Beasley, a talented and athletic small forward, would fill one of the Lakers' greatest needs, the Lakers rejected the offer because they do not want to add to their luxury tax bill, according to the source.

If all it takes is a 1st, I'd imagine he'll be dealt soon.

He'd be better than any of the Lakers SF talent wise.

Though I don't think he'd fit on the Lakers team.

First I thought the Buss were saving money. But if they were really concerned about the $$$, they would have used the amnesty money on Walton already. I think Lakers are just holding their chips just in case D12 becomes available.

I heard a rumor that a deal is close for Beasley to go to the Celtics. I read it on the T-wolves forum. I don't have a link so take it for what it's worth.

Trade away an asset the day before all players become available.. obviously u have to wait to see wuts the best possible deal, they can always come back & revisit this trade

I'm not sure he's worth it. They could use him, since they severely lack depth at the position(s)...but he's so inefficient, and it would add to an already huge payroll...granted, not a ton.

It's iffy. I don't really want the Magic to trade for him, even if it only costs a draft pick.
