I though this deserved its own thread since the NBA will be playing two regular season games in England this weekend and it could be the first step in the NBA creating a European Division down the road. Only time will tell if that is the case. Anyone else excited to see how the games do in England?

I think the NBA wanted to just gauge the interest level in the European market and Toronto was a natural choice considering the amount of international players the Raptors have. Plus it makes sense that Toronto was picked since they are the only team that is not American.

I don't want the NBA to expand overseas but I think that is what David Stern is angling for... Well see what happens.

Exactly. If you were sending Griffin, Rose, Durant, LeBron, Dwight or other stars of their caliber and exciting style of play, I could definitely see it getting more fans interested.

Both games are sold out so the interest is there already.

I'm not sure what to think about this game... I hope they don't do this on a regular basis with overseas games

Take this thread for an example, If OKC was playing the Bulls over there, this page would already be onto page 2. Im from Toronto but i can be honest NO ONE out side the die hards, wants to watch the Raptors.
