Certainly a strong group. I might have to go with Doerr at 2B, and find a place for Grove on the pitching staff, and perhaps Wood could also be considered as well...
I am not a con artist! I am a businessman! I have a big brain and I'm good at making deals! People are just jealous of my BIG BRAIN! BAD!

    Guess who? The future X-Presdent...

I thought about Doerr, but I honestly don't know too too much about him for some reason. Baseball history is a bit of a hobby of mine as far as reading. Maybe this will inspire some research reading. Same with Wood & Grove. After looking at my team I'd prob. drop Pedroia to 9th and bump Nomar in his prime to the 2 hole instead.

A mix of my favorite personalities and some of the best talent:

    Starting position players:
    C Carlton Fisk
    1B Jimmie Foxx
    2B Bobby Doerr
3B Youk (Boggs was sick but he went to the Yankees)
    SS Nomar
    LF Teddy Ballgame
    CF Fred Lynn
    RF Dwight Evans
    DH Ortiz

    Bench:
Yaz, Trot Nixon, Mark Bellhorn (yeah, I liked him), Jim Rice, Varitek, Orlando Cabrera

    Rotation:
    Pedro
    Cy Young
    Schilling
    El Tiante
    Grove

    Bullpen:
    Dennis Eckersley
    Keith Foulke
    Jonathan Papelbon
    El Guapo
    Mike Timlin
    Alan Embree (your token lefty)
    Ugueth Urbina

Obviously never saw guys like Foxx, Ted or Young, but their legends speak for themselves and I'd like to see them play.
