    Top MLB Rotations (excluding Philadelphia)

There was question with this in the MLB thread, so i'll bring it here.

The guy said "All of RSN will tell you that the Giants have a better rotation."

So, do the Giants have a better rotation, 1-5, than Boston?

In terms of depth ours is better but on the front end the Giants rotation is better.

I really think ours top to bottom is better. Both have top notch arms at the front of the rotation but i'll take our 1-5 over their 1-5. I love our veteran rotation.

    This.

But I'd say after next season the Giants. Cain and Bumgarner are going to be stars.

I think Jonathan Sanchez is really underrated

The Giants top 2 isnt that different from bostons top two

look at the stats of Lester and Clay, and compare it to Cain and Lincecum

Boston's front 2 is just as good, and their back 3 is much better than SF's

The guy walks a lot of hitters and will get crush doing that here (over 40% flyballs). He has a career ERA101+. Pretty meh.

I haven't voted yet, just wanted to ask ..

Hypothetically, let's switch the Sox and Giants. How does the Sox rotation look with them pitching in the NL West? How do those Giants starters look in the AL East?

Thats a big reason why I took our rotation over the Giants rotation. I don't think they'd have nearly the same amount of success if they had to pitch in our division. For instance, Sanchez, in my opinion, would be a huge disaster in the AL East. Zito, well i'm pretty sure we can all agree he would be even worse lol. Lincecum and Cain would be fine, Bumgarner in time would be fine as well. He would definitely have some learning bumps along the way though.

ESPN ranks our rotation 5th but I would say we are a close 2nd
