David Lee cleared to return to Warriors

Golden State Warriors forward David Lee has been given permission to return to the team on Friday.

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Golden State Warriors forward David Lee has been given permission to return to the team on Friday.

Lee had been out since suffering a laceration to his right elbow in a win over the Knicks on November 10. He had surgery on the arm shortly after and had the stitches and PICC-line (peripherally inserted central catheter for IVs) removed from his right arm on Thursday.

He was cleared to return to the team by Dr. Frank Chen and will fly to Minneapolis on Friday. There he will workout and will be joined by the rest of the team following the Warriors' game against Memphis on Friday. Lee will then be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against Minnesota.

The 27-year old signed a six-year, $80 million contract in a sign-and- trade with the Knicks in the offseason. Lee spent the first five years of his career with New York. In eight games this season he is averaging 14.3 points and 11.3 rebounds.

Yeah, I've never seen a player get an infection from a tooth and kept him out this long.

Lee is still a Knick at heart

David Lee was cleared to practice; this isn't breaking news. He is exactly on his timetable.

Why do you insist on putting these W's threads (it would be a stretch in there) in the main forum dude?
