Jermaine O'Neal To Sign With Nuggets, Celtics, or Mavs

Free-agent center Jermaine O'Neal said Wednesday that he expects to sign with one of the three following teams in coming days: Dallas, Denver or Boston.

"Those are my favorites," O'Neal told ESPN.com "Those are teams that are going to compete [for a championship] next year."

O'Neal said he's still deliberating between the three teams -- all believed to be offering a portion of the mid-level exception to sign him -- and called the decision perhaps "the most important of my career because I know this is kind of my last run at it" in terms of title-chasing.

I think he ends up with Denver. He is looking at starting minutes due to Martin's surgery.

In Boston he would start the first half mostly and still get tons of PT with Perk coming back slowly, and IMO closer to a title.

I, as an individual Nuggets fan, would welcome Jermaine O'Neal to our team....Plus he sounds determined to get a title, so i'll place hope that he comes with it this upcoming season.

I think if he wants a title, his choices list as:
    Boston
    Denver
    Dallas

I think he is the best fit in Denver though.
JO and KG have too similar games to want to pair them in the post.

JO has a jumper and the nuggets need that more than anything else from their frontcourt. Also, Billups and Melo would bring a lot out of him.

I think Boston would be a pretty good fit with Perkins injured and Sheed retiring.

Another aging star well past his prime--just what the Celtics need
