Cuttino Mobley Looking To Make NBA Comeback

Feeling that the rewards and his love of the game outweigh the risks, Cuttino Mobley has decided to resume his basketball career, 19 months after he retired due to a potentially fatal heart condition.

"I can't stop living my life," Mobley told The Daily News over the telephone Tuesday. "I want to play. I'm ready."

Mobley's career abruptly ended in November of 2008 after he was acquired by the Knicks in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers. Mobley, 34, was aware of his condition when he entered the league in 1998 as a second-round pick of the Houston Rockets, but the Knicks did not feel comfortable giving him clearance to play.

I'd give him the VE. You cant go wrong with a guy with a deadly mid range game who can knock down the 3. Hopefully he can talk his bestfriend Steve Francis into trying to salvage his NBA career also.

This is a joke. Mobley is a joke. Never donned a Knicks Jersey.

Now you're going to make a come back? Pathetic.

He physically couldn't play for the Knicks due to his heart condition. If he has worked it out or took the medication needed, then I dont see the problem.

He would have lost a step or 2 on top of the step he'd already lost, seems like a huge liabilty not just physically but on defense oh god

When the season starts and the blatant homerism subsides, people will realize the 2 biggest flaws on our team. MAYBE??

How do you work out a heart? It's not like he 50 years old and obese.

Meds won't help your heart condition if your gonna go play in the NBA again.
