NYTimes: Gilbert Arenas will lose 147k for each game he misses.

    Source: NYTimes

Any fine or suspension levied by the commissioner concerning the integrity of the game can be grieved if the total financial impact on the player exceeds $50,000. Arenas will be able to grieve any suspension, including the current one, because he stands to lose more than $147,000 for each game he misses.

Yes, any player who is suspended loses the money for the games they missed. I'm sure Rashard Lewis' losses were similar per game for the 10 games he missed from performance enhancing substances. The team should not have to pay the players for games they don't play because they violated league rules. Accountability is on the player and as it should be.

so if he misses the rest of the season it'll be around 6.6 million lost. not to belittle the nba's efforts but he's still getting 10mil. (granted he only misses the rest of this season).

Money that I think should go to me. No real reason.
