Gooden might not be a bad pick up.

Here is an idea for a good offseason plan for either Wiz:
1. Trade Webster and Miller to Indy for Mahinmi, Copeland, and Watson
- Gives you a little more cap flexibilty while providing a wing/stretch 4 in Copeland, a defensive big in Mahinmi, and a Miller replacement in Watson.
2. Re-sign Gortat ($13 mil) Ariza ($9.5 mil) Gooden (min) and Temple (min).
- You might have to overpay to keep the big names, but it's worth it. Gooden and Temple are solid backups for cheap.
3. Sign Anthony Tolliver ($2 mil) and Marshon Brooks (min)
- Tolliver is another combo forward who can stretch the floor. Brooks gives you depth at either wing position.
4. Draft Cory Jefferson of Baylor.
- Good athlete with a talented offensive game. Still room for improvement as a statistical regression last year showed, but lots of potential.
That leaves you with
Gortat/Mahinmi/Gooden
Nene/Tolliver/Jefferson
Ariza/Copeland/Porter
Beal/Brooks/Rice
Wall/Watson/Temple
Very solid. And it comes in under the luxury tax line.
Rumor is that the Wizards are trying to work a sign and trade for Dejuan Blair. I'm just curious as to what assets the Wizards have that would be beneficial to Dallas.

Wizards are interested in Ray Allen.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...-trade-market/
Glen Rice JR is on the trade block. Wizards want to move him before he becomes guaranteed contract January 10. If no deals found they will waive him.
Hoping for a combo guard at this point. The wing is cluttered and so is our front court.
Wizards trade for Dudley. They used a TPE to acquire him. Bucks receive a very highly protected first which never is attainable is really a second round pick and TPE.
Wizards interested in Bucks Miles Plumlee. Wolves also interested in Plumlee. Bucks already had Gooden, Dudley, Temple, Neal, Sessions. Not sure what we would want. Blair? Not many other cheap contracts end of bench to match Plumlee's $2M.
