Played Oakmont CC this afternoon. Greens were a 13 stimp. Like putting on velvet....really fast velvet. Sand traps were an automatic 1 stroke penalty. Fairways were perfect (although I didn't spend an inordinate time there). Did I mention that Oakmont is a "walking course"? Unless you have a medical condition, you walk the course and you have a caddy. It was hot, I was tired & my goal was to break 100. Mission accomplished.....shot a 97. 53-44. I would normally shoot 80-82 at our league course. Got my butt kicked.....but with a smile on my face!

I went out and played, as you can tell from my last post in this thread it has been a while, no range no nothing, anyways i got a 55 through 9.

It was at a course called "Forest Greens" if anyone wants to see what it was like. A couple people i spoke to said it was a long course. It did seem rather long, lots of elevation changes. My scorecard was like this:

1: 5 | 2: 8 | 3: 7 | 4: 5 | 5: 5 | 6: 4 | 7: 5 | 8: 7 | 9: 9

i just played a course called painted mountain

i hit it the best i could

did not score well

40-35 for 75 but on a 6500 yard course which is way short for me

I actually run a golf course and have been doing it for the last 5 years. I switched courses/jobs this year. I am gonna play tomorrow morning and will come back and post my score. The last time I played I shot an 88. I missed about 4 putts that I should've drained and totally flubbed another 3 iron shots and went bad off of the tee on another 3 or 4 shots. So.........I shot an 88 but if I wouldn't have screwed up (so much) I could've maybe broken 80, which easily would've been my all time best.

I've managed to shave 9 strokes off my handicap this year. I'm now a 27!

I went to blackthorn in south bend, last thursday.

I shot a 95. Po played with me, he can tell you what he shot.

My drives were mostly good, I just have been blading or beaver pelting my wedges (all of them) lately. It's all in my head, but it's gotten bad.

i'm playing tomorrow, no matter how crappy the weather is. i haven't played in 2 months. plus, i need something to get my mind off the nd/usc game. i'm so hyped, if i have idle time to wait on the game....i'll go nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i shot 10 over. not bad for having two months off. i played a little rinky dink course in the area. i putted great, but couldn't hit the green to save my life.

I am home in Miami for Thanksgiving and want to get out there but the weather has been atrocious!
