Would you pay a guy $10+ million a year to come off the bench on a championship team

Would you pay a guy $10+ million a year to come off the bench on a championship contending team?

I ask this because it seems certain teams have guys who make relatively close to that and those teams aren't even contenders.
So I'm wondering if you would pay that much for a guy on a championship team to come off the bench?

dude you said "championship"! if it means getting a ring for sure, i would bring my highest paid player off the bench.

those of you who said no, so you'd rather start a 10 million dollar player and lose... than bring him off the bench as ur 6th man and win? really?

the knicks won't even pay 10 mill a year for D.Lee..
but then again they are paying Curry like 11 million and he only played 12 minutes last season..

That's why I said championship contending team. For instance, last year Kirk Hinrich made IIRC $10 million on the Bulls and he came off the bench and no way in hell were we contenders. I would think on a contending team you may or may not pay that much.

Kirk Hinrich on the bulls wasn't a championship team. I'm not sure how much Kukoc was getting paid in the late 90s, but during their run he was worth every penny off the bench b/c they were a championship team

If he gets his stats then why not. I don't get why teams don't want guys coming off the bench even when they play like 30 mins.

Sure. If he puts up starter numbers and stats coming off the bench. I'm down.
