Create the perfect team of players that would win the title. The team must have no conflicts on who would be the Man and no Ego Problems and the Pay Roll Must be under the Luxury Tax.

Too bad that is only 5 players when you need a team of 12 that is under the $71.15 salary cap.

What you have above is Easily $75 million.

PG Deron Williams (I love Chris Paul here too...but I like half court execution, which is where Deron excels...yet is also great in transition...clutch shooter and above average defender)
SG Anthony Parker (great all round guy...brings offense and defense...nice balanced perimeter game...unselfish)
SF James Posey(great glue guy...smart perimeter stopper and solid shooter)
PF Luis Scola (perfect high post complement to Duncan, great passer, very smart and crafty...I wish he wasn't traded to Houston...good position defense)
C Tim Duncan (the main option in the post, great weak side defense, protects the rim)

    Bench:

Manu Ginobili (the clutch scorer off the bench, like with the Spurs)
Rajon Rondo (atheticism, defense, energy and ball handling)
Bruce Bowen (defensive stopper on the perimeter in limited minutes)
David Lee (another post scorer who can pass, rebound and defend)
Paul Millsap (rebounding, hard work and defense)
Jason Maxiell (for hustle, athelticism, energy off the bench)
    James Jones (for shooting)

    Coach: Popovich

Play in half court style...Williams as main facilitator...Duncan as low post threat surrounding him with shooters like Posey and Parker, and Scola from mid range. I like players that move the ball and most of guys buy into that concept. Manu is used as main scorer off the bench.

This teams has defenders, shooters, rebounders and scorers. And most of all, people with good basketball IQ and one of the greatest winners of his era in Tim Duncan. I think this team would destroy any existing team in the league right now. I like guys who play within the offense and accept their role.

Most guys on this team won't complain about PT or need pampering of their fragile ego's. These guys are team players.

Devin - 7.8 (Fast, gets to the rim, can shoot) Rondo (Fast, Defense, Winner)- 1.6
Wade -14.4 (Self Explanatory)- Roy - 3.0 (Great Combo Guard)- Bowen (DEFENSE, Winner, 3pt Shooter)4.0
    Battier - 6.3 (DEFENSE, 3pt shooter) - Granger 2.3 (Great all round game, above .400 3pt fg%)
West - 9.8 (Post scorer/solid rebounder)- Aldridge (Scorer)- 4.6 - Bass (Hustle, Scorer, SPARK PLUG) .83
Dwight - 13 (BEAST, Arguably best center)- David Lee (Instant double-double/HUSTLE)- 1.7

Fantastic squad. I was going to build something quite similar.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

The only thing is with the exception of Bass and maybe Lee none of your bench guys are actually bench players

Good thread JB. Here is my team:

    Kirk Hinrich
    Kobe Bryant
    Tayshaun Prince
    A. Mcdyess
    D. Howard

    Bench:

    Sasha Vujacic
    B. Gordon
    J. Posey
    Paul Milsapp
    J. Maxiell
    JJ Redick
    Desagna Diop

    Coach: Phil Jackson

I think this team would win a title, they would have enough defense on the perimeter and in the low post. The team would have a great closer in Kobe and the low post game of D. Howard. T. Prince is a lockdown defender and Mcdyess is a blue-collar type of power forward. The bench would provide a nice spark for the team.
