Lightbulb Raymond Lewis In The NBA

As one of the best shooters ever, he was blackballed out of the NBA. The Philadelphia 76ers gave him a crap contract compared to Doug Collins, who wasn't nearly as good. In fact, he dropped 60 points on Collins in one half during training camp. In exchange for Philly's disrespect, Raymond Lewis moved to the Utah Stars, where he was the leader and most important part of the entire team. The 76ers then threatened to sue if he played, after which time he drifted off into the obscurity of street ball competitions.
In the age of no three pointers, he rarely ever took shots closer than 20 feet, and regularly averaged a shooting percentage well over 50 percent. He's dropped 56 points on defensive player of the year Michael Cooper, in three quarters. Once, he even scored 73 points while making 30 of 40 field goals, in college (75% FG%)! In high school, he scored 52 points on a group of LA Lakers. It's hard to find stats like that from any other player.
Personally, I think he had the ability to break Wilt Chamberlain's scoring record with his sharpshooting abilities, and would have been at least a top 20 all time NBA star. How good do you think Raymond Lewis would have been, if given a respectable chance in the NBA?

I started a thread about him last year. Once I saw who he was I was amazed. In a way I feel like he should have accepted the contract, and prove he deserved more, but hey that's life. IMO of the best if not the best player never to play in a NBA game. Dude was a BEAST!

i want some video of this. he sounds unreal
Thank you Saints. i can watch TV again.

Welcome Nate Robinson to the Boston Celtics! I am one of the few who support this deal.

Please Patriots, no more CBA talks. I and the fans dont care. We want to win. Get this roster where it needs to be. NO excuses.

We couldnt sign a big hitter, so the Red Sox are all about De-Fense. Hope it works!

He was better than Doug Collins, and didn't want to accept a lesser contract. Collins probably got payed more for being white. Lewis probably should have played though. He could have been the highest payed player after teams saw what he did.

i wish he would've played in the NBA. It would've been nice to see him compete at a higher level.

Too bad there isn't any videos of him playin. Sounds like the legend of Moby Dick. Now here's a high school legend that might have changed the game if he hadn't broken his neck.
