    The Official Minor League Report

We had this thread last year and it was a success. This is the place to post any question, news, stat or fact about our minor league teams and players. And of course, I hope we can count on the constant updates and reports from our Official minor league scout and favorite trade proposer, dave.

    Ogden Raptors

Rookie Level is quite a ways from the Bigs, but I live in Ogden, Utah (home of the Ogden Raptors). I've been lucky enough to watch a few up and comers. Scott Elbert, Blake Dewitt and (of course) Russell Martin all played here in Ogden. I'll be sure to drop by and give updates when I'm able to attend the games.

    Here's the roster for LV51's

    51's roster

It looks to me that we have dried our AAA team leaving only Miller, Meloan, Orenduff and Paul. Other than that all are transitory players (Repko, Martinez) and career AAA players.

I know Miller and Meloan pretty well, but could someone expand on Orenduff and Paul?

Xpual is a left hand hitting center fielder. he has some power and is very fast.

Ordeuff is a starter reliever, this is his second time in triple a. he was once right up there with Billsy but a shoulder operation two years ago cost him. he came back and pitched well in double a last year, nothing spectacular but not bad eithier. Glade to see him back in triple a again this year. This is more likely than not a make or break year for his Dodger future. he is still only 24...so he's hopeing for the best.

When is Kershaw up again? I want to see him pick up well after his rough start.

Also, I'm impressed that Myers accepted the assignment. any news on him leaving for another ML try?
