McWilliams is intriguing. Could be a force or a bust. Really high ceiling and the potential for nasty stuff -- if he can find consistency.

Absolutely not. Surprised you think that I thought that it was such a crude either/or proposition. That the only way to address those matters was with snarky or one word answers.
There are many...
"Personnel" issue but looking like a "character" thing.
Like to see Baty DH-ing today and Lee getting the start in left. Fun lineup overall today. Wish it was televised.
Did you just re-watch the '86 and '69 World Series? Lots of comparisons in your recent posts to our 2 glory days in 58 years. I don't say that with malice, because I watch them all the time!

Forgot about Osuna's criminal baggage. **** that.
Their .AVG with RISP has been bad. And they were one of the worst base running teams in MLB according to advanced stats. And they have a lot of slow guys. I think the overall avg. and .avg with RISP...
Greene would be nice and it will suck if ATL gets him. At one point I imagine his demands for $ and years came down but once teams like the Mets realize that they're not nearly as deep as they...
Nice to see Pete crush one the other way. And Mauricio stroke a nice single.
Nimmo will walk into 25 HRs with 600 PAs.
30 isn't out of the question.
Not AVG. but last year (remember, SSS) we were 30th, leaving an average of 3.77 RISP per game. For context...
In 2019 we were 14th.
In 2018 we were 10th.
In 2017 we were 5th.
We were also last...
Our lineup is as deep and balanced as it's ever been. Our bench has veteran talent. We're going to make pitchers and entire staffs work hard, grinding them down in games and through the course of...
There are a million (albeit cliched) high road answers he could have given regarding Springer, Bauer, Cespedes, etc. but he goes there for a cheap laugh.
The other bi-product of saying signing...
We need to hire a Clutch Hitting Instructor ASAP.

Good to see.
For a veteran front office guy who is big on processes and discipline, Sandy screws up a lot of interviews by letting his ego get in the way or not having a disciplined answer to a question that was...
SNY is a journalistic wasteland but I do enjoy the prospect videos they regularly post from St. Lucie.
-Crow-Armstrong looks like he is going to be an elite defender.
-Allan has a flawless...
Agree with all of this. I said 99 and 06 were better offensively than86. and 2021 has the talent to surpass them all.
On paper this lineup is better and the bench is just as deep if not more.
I'd go with 2006 and even 1999 over 1986 from a purely offensive POV.
Regardless of order, have we ever had a better offensive team (on paper)?
This is true. I was thinking about the other more defensive minded options.
Though the question then should be which is the best overall defensive outfield:
Conforto RF
Pillaar CF
Nimmo LF

He's improved, but I believe that he is below average. Regardless, Smith is the better fielder, so having him at 1B instead of LF improves us in two spots. Of course, overall Alonso is a beast, and...
I never advocated for Pete at 3B. Just wrote what I saw from this morning's videos. I doubt it will happen, unless in an emergency.
However seeing him there made me realize that not having a DH...
Pete at 3B, Dom at 1B, Nimmo in LF and Almora, etc. in CF would give us only one (albeit significant) defensive liability (Pete) vs. 4 guys (Pete at 1B, Dom in LF, Nimmo in CF, Davis at 3B) who are...
Polar Bear taking grounders at 3B today with JD. Probably nothing, but interesting.
