Gerrymandering sucks
It actually is a bad law whatever you feel about abortion. If this is successful it’ll spawn laws on both sides of the isle that allow civil litigation to circumvent constitutionally protected...
It’s not settled law and the repercussions will take time. Laws have consequence that we will see as they take effect.
The fix is bad law. When one side has gone too far the other side will be given the numbers to pass laws unilaterally.
Every time I see his blocked post I imagine Charlie Brown teacher inaudible talking followed by canned audience laughter. I’m sure the real thing is less whimsical.
These things don’t last forever. Lots of blue states use to be red states and the other way around. Having a government that actually legislates will change how some people vote when rhetoric...
I actually started it thinking it would attract BOP like cat nip so he’d post his new civil war posts somewhere other than another thread.
I disagree. I think the best way to change that math is to have republicans actually pass laws. Parties that get clear power tend to pass laws that eventually are unsuccessful or go to far and the...
I don’t see it being the south. Idaho, Wyoming, Dakotas are more likely to actually get the votes. It’s much more of the Libertarian outlaw west.
The interesting thing would be to see what areas of the economy each entity would be dependent on the other. You would also have a fair amount of movement of people between the two entities.

Maybe that’s true but it would be worth trying. I do believe most Americans want to see Congress pass bills to fix problems. If you could keep it simpler and focused I think people would back these...
Small bills that simply cover the areas of bipartisan agreement would have been hard for republicans to explain their opposition. It’s the more progressive wants that allow republicans to say “well...
Manchin and Sinema were never gonna vote for BBB and certainly weren’t gonna end the filibuster and nothing Biden did was gonna change that fact. They would be hammered with it back home.
I...
I agree. But why do we just except this?
You really think Biden’s issue comes from not treating half of his constituency like their horrible people?
Biden’s problems are that he’s a mediocre politician with the smallest legislative...
Debate the idea that several southern US states are meth addicts? That half the country is deplorable? I don’t think either of those things are true. And it’s not unthinkable that Hillary saying...
As long as politics in this country is mostly an attempt to own the other side it’s the democrats that will suffer. The Republican Party is much less interested in legislating and more interesting...
Wow. If this is gonna be indicative of the Democratic Party going forward then have fun insulting the people on the right while the Republican Party runs the country.
Are we still still treating half the country like a basket of deplorables? This is why Trump will win in 24’.
They didn’t do this for people, they did this for themselves. They have both been very vague about what they think this bill should do and not do because they don’t want to be on the record because...
We’re individual states with a shared federal government framework. Allows states to be different when appropriate and uniform when appropriate.
Fewer votes means more stuff gets passed. More stuff gets passed the more politicians get judged for being legislators and not semi-regular guests on cable news shows. Politicians leaders will be...
End the filibuster. Watch the party centrist stop using the language of the extremes now that they can’t promise what they don’t want to deliver. See some bad legislation get passed and some...
That’s because we’ve incentivize people who run from the extremes of their party and view compromise as a weakness.
No. It’s the same with the filibuster. I’m good with the same rules for both sides. I just didn’t see the necessity of states rights until I saw the potential of a federal government unchecked. ...
