I totally agree. When you don’t draft a tight end early in the first round you will be happy 9 out of 10 times.
Pitts might be the one you regret but I wouldn’t take that chance.

Bill Belichick likes the idea. Not surprisingly most fans don’t. Most people have hated any changes to the overtime rules in the past.
Good coaching should be rewarded and bad coaching should be punished. Even more reason to like it.
I love the select the spot idea.
Personally I love the idea. Much more strategic and lessens the importance of the stupid coin toss.

I actually like there overtime suggestion.
Most people here won’t like it cause they hate change.
With no one wanting to go to the pats now maybe they will lose draft picks in the future for failing to reach the salary floor. They might even not be able to field a full roster. They might have to...
Forget me though
Which contract would you sign?
Well the guarantees are important. Which contract is better?
5 years 100 million with zero guarantees.
5 years 90 million with 60 million guaranteed
I honestly don’t know where he would go to be honest. Maybe you’re right.
I’m still hoping he gets signed long term in Dallas.
Not all incentives are equal. I personally can’t count money that probably won’t be earned.
Back to back 10 sacks seasons is not going to be easy though. I would guess that he has less then 50 percent chance of getting that 3 million.
Not saying he is but if Dak was pissed at Jerry he should go to Washington to face Dallas twice a year.
The real numbers.

Two of my friends Tom and jack are in a contract dispute. They argue what’s fair.
Who’s right?
Doesn’t mean much but...

Have to agree. I would prefer a long term contract but if they tag him again there’s no reason to believe that they will ever get that done seeing as they have had years to try.
You’ve really struggled with this whole situation.
Correct
I guess his agent isn’t so smart then cause he waited till late June to sign it last year.
You can’t be traded if your not signed. It also puts some added pressure to get the deal done by July with the threat of a holdout. ( unlikely in this case) Plus you can skip some of the offseason...
I didn’t say decline the tag. I said there’s no hurry to sign it. In fact it’s probably more strategic to wait a bit.
I heard from a very unreliable source that no free agent wants to go there anymore.
If Dak signs a 3 year deal at 41 million that is exactly what he will get payed. Sure there might be a signing bonus and the first year might have a lower cap number or a smaller base salary but make...
It’s funny cause a lot of people are saying he shouldn’t sign the tag right away so he can’t be traded. The chances of the cowboys rescinding the tag are slim.
