Defense has improved with McNeil at 2nd, Lindor at SS and McCann at catcher. The rest of the defense is the same.

Starting pitching is leaps and bounds better than last year.

If the Mets keep Cano next year, I could see him getting a spot start at DH while continuing playing Dom in left and Pete at 1st.

In '86, Outside of Santana, it was a formidable lineup. Besides Santana, Carter had the lowest wRC+ at 115. Santana had a wRC+ of 49. Teufel had a 98. But Hernadez, Dykstra,Straw, Backman, Wilson...

I loved the '99 team. Felt Olerud was grossly underrated.

And would look better in Orange and Blue.

I am more inclined to put Dombo in the 3 hole if what we saw the last two years was not an apparition.
