Glad to have ya back and hope you’ve been good.
Getting a foot in the door of the playoffs begins a completely different season IMO.

I really liked Nelson Aggy this year
Dude was far better than I expected
I’ve had a busy week at work and couldn’t pop in but a few notes
1. The Jets are all about super bowls
(All teams are “about Super Bowls”)
Our team and the Jets can pay lip service to...
Oh he ain’t perfect at all
Misses some big throws
Happy feet at times
But he is not our problem
He is one of the least problematic players we have.
Last you checked the Raiders were about super bowls?
Was the last time you checked in the 80s?
Preach man
This is a team sport and when your defense is this bad it doesn’t even matter what your O does
I posted Manning’s info from his heyday in Indy and with the worst defenses he didn’t...
I can’t believe we finished 8-8
I think we massively underachieved
While simultaneously overachieving
This season .... yeeesh
As a previous defensive back
I fully agree that the pass rush is the foundation
Getting pressure leads to mistakes
As much as I didn’t mind Mack being traded... good lord he is amazing
Ah the emotional appeal
Very strong arguments made
You’ve changed my mind ;)
Haha here to help
It’s not a conclusion and I’m not an expert but I think it’s obvious that the defense is and has been baaaaaaaaaaaad
Alright done for a bit
Back to the office
No one is around
The internet got me today
I’m not a Switch alt or David Carr
Looking at the Colts and Manning
29th defense no playoffs
31st D no playoffs
23 wildcard
23 won Super Bowl
20 lost divisional
13 years at Indy
Top 15 def for 6 years
DSRS stat and OSRS stat for example
3 years in a row now with a -4 to -5 DSRS
This years offense is a +2.9
Gannon years had a positive DSRS and their offense popped off some 6+ Scores too ...
None of what i put out there even factors in pro football reference’s strength of schedule
Which is a massive swing between Carrs years and the Gannon years.
Anything in between was hell but...
Carr made it to the playoffs with a 20th ranked defense (injured and didn’t play) during what could’ve been a competitive playoff run.
Point given up defensively
20 447 so far
19 419
18 467 ...
Rich Gannon
2003- 25th D. 4-12. 2-5 as starter
2002- 6th 11-5
2001- 19th. 10-6
2000- 9th 12-4
1999. 16th. 8-8
That’s his tenure
Defensive rank in points scored
20- 29
19- 24
18- 32
17- 20
16- 20
15- 22
14- 32
13- 23
Same ole argument as always
Team sport measurement directed at one individual who performs his position very well while the majority of his team underperforms.
You can’t carry a trash defense...
Been a bit and thought more on it
Carr is our dude
Even with his flaws, all QBs have them, this dude is the reason we even competed at all this year.
The team was booty
Absolute booty
...
I think MM benefits greatly with Grudens offensive design
Having the legs to move mixed with short route/deep shots fits the dude
I think Carr benefited from it too but doesn’t have the legs...
I think Indy would pay a first rounder for Carr.
He’s pretty popular around here due to them looking for a QB last year and him having some success this year.
They have a top 10 defense and no...
4 defensive starters out
Maybe the “earn a spot/audition for next year” will have the scabs amped up?
Red zone pick
Pick six
Carr gave this one away all on his own
All 44 points scored against us were because of Carr
Better see defensive draft picks and a new coordinator
Free agency should be focused on that side of the ball
Hit the receiver in a better spot and it won’t be picked and returned for a TD
