Its no small task to acquire a young QB and get him up to speed in Gruden's offense. DeShaun Watson's athleticism would certainly add an interesting dynamic but I believe this team can win with Carr...
I went back and watched all of the games again. We very easily could have been a 10-6 team last season. 6-8 plays doomed our chances.

Happ fits the same mold as Mark DeRosa. The intangibles cannot be statistically quantified. It’s about the optics and the results.
See no further than Jason Heyward in 2016. Did his statline...
I really like Agholor. I would to see him return but its such a buyers market for WR's these days he needs to be realistic about his market value.
It’s a byproduct of the era.

Green would have loved Happ.

Tampa Bay went from 7-9 to 11-5 with Tom Brady. Leadership matters.

Who was Ryne Sandberg before he was Ryne Sandberg. I wish the Cubs had 7 Ian Happs.
A Carr returning to the Texans? I dunno.
Stork-did you watch either Kansas City game? I am as skeptical as they come regarding Carr but he outplayed Mahomes in both contests.
I understand where you are coming from.

His locker room presence and baseball IQ are worth their weight in gold, you cannot statically qualify those intagibles. More so considering David Ross's liabilities as a manager. Where Happ goes...
Goody goody gum drops. Happ is the type of player that you build a team around.
Keeping Ian Happ is the single biggest priority for the Cubs this offseason.
I'll probably take a little flak for this but what not add Marc Trestman the the staff? I always felt that he had a great feel for the game (more so than Gruden). The perpetual state of rebuilding...
Good to see you back Stork.
Very good player no doubt but I would like to see a larger body of work.
Love to see him return just not at the expense of getting the defense sorted out.

Agholor=Louis Muphy Good player that you absolutely do not overpay.
Fixing the defense needs to be the emphasis of this off season. I guess we will see if Bradley is up to the task.
The margin of error between 8-8 & 10-6 is slight. I can think of about 6 plays that broke our chances.

It does. Its runs counter to what Jon has done in the past. Personally speaking I like Gruden's willingness to open things up and scheme around his QB's strengths. Gruden's reluctance to stretch...
After years er decades of anything but, stability and continuity would be a much welcomed change.

I think I meant “to see if it stands.” Got to love predictive text.
